Ive rated this motorcycle 5/5 since I genuinely feel its one of the best beginner motorcycles you can get. It feels like a royal enfield classic with tubeless tyres, rain and urban ABS modes and reliability as standard.
Ive driven around 1500 kilometres on the bike, rode on the highway as well as the city and its a pure joy to ride. Its top speed is low at 120kmph and vibrations start on the handlebar as soon as the speedometer hits 100kmph, but as long as you can handle slight vibrations you can reach and maintain the said top speed.
When it comes to mileage, Ive always had a mileage above 45kmpl, although truth be told Im not an aggressive rider, so mileage may fall if you ride it aggressively. Given its 14 litre fuel tank, it means that even with a 40kmpl mileage, you are looking at a range of 560 kilometres before dry.
The slipper clutch and the Glide Through Technology is a lifesaver - not only because it helps with preventing wrist pain in city traffic but also because, they help new riders learn clutch control. This version also has the adjustable levers so, comfort is never the issue.
The service centre I use is Shaw service centre in Chinar Park, Kolkata. Be advised that Ronin is a vehicle that does not have a predictable service period. What that means is if you give your vehicle in the morning, waiting around wont help you since you will only recieve your vehicle in the evening. That apart the mechanics in this service centre are decent and were extremely professional in their service. The free service costs around 1000-2000.
The con that I have with this motorcycle is some parts that should come as standard are optional accessories. You have to pay extra for the usb port and the pillion backrest - both of which I feel should be default given how the ronin only supports turn by turn navigation and it tries to market itself as a cruiser-scrambler.
The other con is that the bluetooth connectivity features such as upcoming direction indicator are useless. Ive only used it once and its honestly not worth the battery drain on your mobile phone. Its better to buy a good mobile holder and use your phone as a gps.
Contrary to the hate that it recieves from motorcycle reviewers, its actually a good bike and a much better motorcycle than the Hunter 350. Despite having a smaller displacement engine, it still gives more features, similar power and more comfort than the Hunter 350
