BSA Gold Star

We received a media invite from Classic Legends which hints at the BSA Gold Star launch in India this Independence Day, on August 15, 2024. After launch, the Gold Star will go up against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Here’s how they compare.

The BSA Gold Star is a true-blue retro roadster with a classic fuel tank an offset cap, pinstripes, flat bench seat, minimal side panels, and generous use of chrome. The Gold Star uses a 652cc single-cylinder, 4-valve DOHC liquid-cooled motor developing 45.6PS at 6000rpm and 55Nm at 4000rpm. This motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The BSA Gold Star is equipped with a double-cradle frame along with a 41mm telescopic fork and 5-step preload-adjustable dual rear shocks. The bike has an 18-inch wheel and the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear, fitted with 100-section front and 130-section rear Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by a 320mm disc up front and a 255mm disc at the rear, paired with Brembo callipers.
