Key Specs of Classic 350
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Highlights
Royal Enfield has hiked the price of its popular model, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6. The price hike has affected all its variants. While the Gunmetal Grey witnesses a considerable price increase of Rs 11,536, the rest of the colour variants get only a small price bump of around Rs 2,750. Check out the full price list here.
With its classic, nostalgic design and relaxed dynamics, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 changed the fortunes of the brand. While it was initially believed that it would get a new engine to comply with the BS6 emission norms, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 still makes use of the UCE motor, albeit in a fuel-injected guise. In May 2020, Royal Enfield introduced a couple of finance schemes for the Classic 350 which allows potential customers to pick up the bike by paying a low down payment of Rs 20,000. The first three EMIs have also been reduced. Here's the finer print.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Price: The Royal Enfield Classic 350’s price begins from Rs 1.59 lakh for the single-channel ABS version and from Rs 1.67 lakh for the dual-channel variant. On certain colours of the dual-channel ABS trim, you also get alloy rims. Prices of these models are a bit higher than that of the standard spoke rim versions. The dual-channel ABS Classic 350 comes in six colours: Chrome, Gunmetal Grey, Sandstorm Sand, Airborne Blue, Stealth Black and Classic Black (replete with golden pinstripes). The single-channel ABS version gets four colours: Chestnut Red, Ash, Mercury Silver and Redditch Red.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Features:
The Classic 350 has never been a feature-rich motorcycle, receiving only some minor updates since 2009. The lighting systems are basic bulb units, the speedometer is a simple analogue unit and aside from the odometer, there is no other data relayed back to the rider. There are two tell-tale lights for low fuel and engine check (introduced with the BS6 updates). It arrives in two trims: single-channel and dual-channel ABS. The Classic 350 finally gets closed-loop fuel injection with an oxygen sensor in the exhaust.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Engine:
The Classic 350 continues to be powered by the same old 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled UCE thumper in the BS6 era. By complying with BS6 norms, the engine has lost 0.7PS in the process, now producing only 19.3PS. Thankfully, the torquey charm of the motor remains, churning out 28Nm even after the BS6 updates. A standard 5-speed gearbox is found on the Classic 350.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Suspension & Brakes:
The foundations of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 are pretty simple and conventional. The trusty steel single-downtube frame uses the engine as a stressed member. The chassis is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin gas-charged shocks. It runs on a 19-/18-inch wheel setup. On the models of the Classic 350 that get spoke rims, you get 90/90-section front and 110/90-section rear tyres. While the front tyre remains the same on the ones that get alloy wheels, a wider 120/80-section rear-tyre is used. The tyres are also tubeless on the alloy rims versions.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Rivals:
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is India’s favourite retro roadster. Even in light of competition from the Bajaj Dominar 400, Jawa and the Benelli Imperiale 400, the appeal of the Classic 350 is unrivalled. It was the first of the trio to get BS6-compliant, with deliveries of the motorcycle already happening. In terms of pricing, you can also check out the likes of the KTM RC 125, Jawa Forty Two, KTM 200 Duke, Dominar 250 and the KTM 250 Duke.

Design and Features
Royal Enfield Classic 350 has the genetics of the trend that continues to appeal the Indian masses since a long ago. Though the machine was launched back in 2010, it continued the looks of the traditional Royal Enfield motorcycles. The reason to choose the traditional appearance was the charm and authenticity it offers and makes it extraordinary. Only technical advancements are made to the machine, which is highly necessary for the manufacturer to stay strong against its competitors. However, there is no such manufacturer that makes motorcycles as affordable and promising as Royal Enfield.
The machine is crafted on a single downtube type chassis that holds the engine as a stressed member. The wheelbase of the motorcycle is 1370mm that keeps the ride stable throughout the journey, while minimum ground clearance of 135mm also adds stillness to the manoeuvring. The suspension system that keeps the ride smooth and refreshing includes telescopic forks at the front and twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload at the rear. The motorcycle rolls on the 90/90 – 19-inch front and 110/90 – 18-inch rear tyre with spoke wheels. The wheels further sport a 280mm disc brake with 2-piston calliper at the front and a 153mm drum brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The kerb weight of the machine is 187kg, which helps it stay ground and keeps the traction level high and effective.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 sports a look of a heritage motorcycle with no advance equipment and traditional styling. The round headlamp and long fenders remind of the motorcycles of the late 20th century. The bold and smart fuel tank has a storage capacity of 13.5 litres. Old school seat design of the bike makes it look unique and appears to be comfortable for both the rider and the pillion. From the rear, it looks aggressive and interesting with long shining muffler and bullet type side indicators fitted beside petite round taillight. Instrumentation of the bike is outdated and sports a speedometer and an odometer. The minimalistic side panels of the machine are in body colour along with rear and front fenders. The overall look of the motorcycle is electrifying.
Engine and Performance
Royal Enfield Classic 350 is fitted with the same power mill as featured in the legendary Thunderbird Twinspark. This 346cc 4-stroke single cylinder, air-cooled Twinspark engine is capable of churning superior power and torque figures of 19.8PS @ 5250rpm and 28Nm @ 4000rpm respectively. These torque and power figures allow you to flatten mountains confidently and enjoy a pumped up throttle response. Along with the decent power values the Classic 350 earns you a ride of 37 km in one litre of fuel, thus scoring high in performance and efficiency. Meshed with the engine unit is the seamless 5-speed constant mesh gearbox that works in collaboration with a wet, multi-plate clutch unit and ensures smooth gear transitions.
