The Royal Enfield Scram 450 was spotted on test for the first time. It will be a more affordable scrambler-style version of the Himalayan 450, and is likely to be priced at around Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom). Know more about the upcoming scrambler in our spy shot analysis here.

The Royal Enfield Scram 450 employs fork clamp mounted headlight, single piece contoured seat, and lacks tank braces as well. The motorcycle will be powered by the same single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Himalayan 450. In the ADV, the motor is expected to churn out around 40PS, so the Scram 450 will likely have the same state of tune as well.

More importantly, the Scram 450 rides on a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock unlike the ADV’s inverted fork up front. The wheels are also smaller 17-inch units at both ends, wrapped with block pattern tyres. 

The closest rival to the upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 450 will be the smaller-engined, more affordable Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
