Overview

BSA has unveiled the Bantam Bobber 350 at EICMA 2026. It is essentially the Jawa 42 Bobber but with slightly different clothes (read aesthetic tweaks), slightly different mechanicals and a BSA badge. It was unveiled alongside the Bantam Scrambler 350 as part of what BSA calls the "Dual Rebellion," and both are built on the Bantam 350 platform. The Bobber comes in two variants, the standard Bobber 350 and the special edition Bobber 350 SP (Special Parts). BSA says the new Bantams will reach markets in 2027, but is unlikely to be launched in India as we already have the Jawa 42 Bobber as well as the Jawa Perak.
Design
The Bobber has low-slung, factory-custom bobber lines with a rugged look. It looks pretty similar to the Jawa 42 Bobber, but gets a slightly different fuel tank, side panels, and a tail light integrated into the solo seat. The alloy wheel design is different too. The SP variant, on the other hand, has a dark chrome finish, gold upside-down forks and 16-inch spoked wheels with a fatter front tyre.
Features
Dual-channel ABS is standard, and the bike meets Euro 5+ norms. The special edition SP variant, on the other hand, gets a full-colour TFT display, hopefully with connectivity. The standard variant is likely to use a full-LCD without smartphone connectivity.
Powertrain
The Bobber has a 334cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine making 28.6PS at 8,000rpm and 26.4Nm at 6,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. In comparison, the Jawa 42 Bobber makes 29.9PS and 30Nm.
Underpinnings
Compared to the Jawa 42 Bobber, this one gets a fatter 41mm telescopic fork, whereas the rear continues to get an underseat monoshock with 7-step preload adjustment. It rides on a 100/90-18 front tyre and a smaller 17-inch rear, possibly with a 150-section rear tyre. Braking is by a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, both with ABS. The seat height is 742mm, and the wet weight is 189kg. The tank holds 13.2 litres.
Rivals To Consider
The BSA Bantam Bobber 350 will compete with the Jawa 42 Bobber and Jawa Perak.
