Italian bikemaker MBP has unveiled the M502N in India at the Auto Expo 2023.

The MBP (Moto Bologna Passione) M502N is a naked streetfighter with a 486cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. It is paired to a six-speed transmission, and belts out a healthy 51. 6PS and 45Nm. The claimed top speed stands at 165kmph.

The bike gets an all-LED lighting, a 4. 2-inch TFT instrument cluster, and dual-channel Bosch ABS. Underpinnings include an inverted fork and rear monoshock - both preload adjustable, from KYB, dual 300mm front discs and a 240mm rear unit, both from J. Juan. The international-spec bike rolls on Pirelli Angel GT tyres at both ends, tips the scale at a hefty 195kg dry, and comes with a 790mm tall seat.

Interestingly, the MBP M502N comes equipped with IoT (internet of things) technology with GPS and its own internet connection. This means that the bike flaunts features such as app-based connectivity without the need of Bluetooth. The MBP app gives riders tools such as movement sensors and auto shutdown to deter thefts, and a panic button.

In terms of rivals, it will be a more powerful alternative to the KTM 390 Duke and the QJ Motor SRK 400. It will also be a more affordable choice compared to the Kawasaki Z650.
