Italian bikemaker MBP has unveiled the C1002V cruiser in India at the Auto Expo 2023.
The MBP C1002V is a proper American cruiser with a massive 997cc 80-degree V-twin engine making 95PS and 102Nm and mated to a 6-speed transmission, and belt-operated final drive.
Underpinnings include a KYB USD fork and KYB monoshock, both adjustable for preload. Braking is via dual 320mm discs up front and a 300mm disc at the rear, with a 130-section front and 240-section rear Metzeler tyres wrapped around 18-inch alloys.
In terms of features, the MBP C1002V comes equipped with IoT (internet of things) technology with GPS and its own internet connection. This means that the bike flaunts features such as app-based connectivity without the need of Bluetooth. The MBP app gives riders tools such as movement sensors and auto shutdown to deter thefts, and a panic button.
In terms of rivals, the C1002V will go up against the Harley-Davidson Nightster and the Indian Scout Bobber.
