Adventure Expert Review
Overview

Adventure bikes have become very popular in India because they let you do a bit of everything including riding comfortably in the city, going on long highway trips, and even exploring off-road trails. The Yezdi Adventure is built for riders who love to travel and explore as it is a bike that has a tall and rugged stance. In this review, we’ll find out how it performs in the real world; on city roads, highways, and off-road trails, while also looking at its design, features, comfort, fuel efficiency, and value for money. The bike has been around for a while now and kept receiving updates to keep it relevant. I did get to spend some time with the latest-gen model to help you decide if it's the right choice for you.
Design
Design
The Yezdi Adventure has a rugged aesthetic and looks a lot like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. It has a tall stance with a high-mounted front mudguard and rugged tank. It gets a round LED headlamp at the front, along with a windscreen, and wide handlebars to help with its off-road and touring abilities. While not a flashy design, it carries an old-school vibe with modern utility. The 2024 model had the cage around the front end removed. It was replaced by sleeker bars with panels integrated into them and this helped the bike get rid of a lot of additional weight. A panel under the dash manages to pack away all the exposed wiring neatly and the bike also gets a new sump guard. The 2025 model is available in two variants where one of them gets a new asymmetrical twin-headlight setup and it now also sports a rally-style beak.

Colours
The single-headlight variant is available in four colour schemes where the gloss options include Wolf Grey and Glacier White, while the Matte colour options include Tornado Black and Magnite Maroon. The twin headlight model gets six colour options where it gets Wolf Grey, Glacier White and, Tornado Black, alongside, Forest Green, Desert Khaki, and Ocean Blue. If I had to pick, I would go for the twin-headlight model in the Ocean Blue shade. If I had to nitpick, I would say that I'd have liked a better looking fuel-tank.

Build Quality
The build quality and fit-and-finish is decent for the price that the bike is being offered at. I would not say that it is premium, but the newer models are considerably better.

Features
Convenience Features
The updated Yezdi gets the same segmented display console from the previous model and this unit is also adjustable for the optimum viewing angle. In the features department, there is nothing new but the Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation features have further been fine tuned. The bike also gets a USB charging port, the tall windscreen helps with highway comfort, and luggage mounting points make it ideal for long-distance travel.

Safety Features
Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard, with three switchable modes: Road, Off-road, and Rain. The rear ABS can be fully switched off for off-road use and the new model also gets traction control. While there are no flashy electronics or riding modes, these basic rider aids are enough for most situations. Additionally, LED lighting all around adds a modern touch and enhances visibility. For 2025, the Yezdi Adventure comes with a traction control system which will go a long way in maintaining control, particularly on roads with less grip.
Ride Comfort
Ride Quality
In the newer models, the suspension has been tuned to be more progressive which prevents it from bottoming out and gives it better off-road capability. While riding the motorcycle through off-road trails and sections of bad roads, it did offer fairly plush ride quality.

Rider Comfort
The bike has an upright riding posture with wide bars, and neutral-set footpegs. It is comfortable for long rides, thanks to the wide and supportive seat, and generous suspension travel to soak up rough roads. While the bike’s tall 815mm seat height may be a challenge for shorter riders, it does feel light and easily manageable on the go. The ergonomics keeps a rider upright and comfortable, but I would have personally preferred slightly wider handlebars and the footpegs placed a little further back.

Pillion Comfort
The pillion comfort is decent where the rear seat is flat and comes with a grab rail, but the ride can feel a bit stiff over longer distances. I feel like an optional backrest or top box would improve pillion support, especially on longer tours.
Engine & Performance
Engine
The Yezdi Adventure gets a 334cc, single cylinder motor putting out 29.6PS and 29.8NmM of peak torque. The gear ratios had been tuned with the 2024 update where the first, second, and third gears are shorter while the fourth, fifth, and sixth gears have a taller ratio. Each gear has its own specific tune and Yezdi's aim was to offer a better riding experience in the city at slow speeds, through off-road trails, and also perform well out on the highway at higher speeds. The latest-generation version is compatible with E20 fuel (80% petrol, 20% ethanol).

City Performance
The bike is much more refined compared to before in the low-end rpm range and has a good amount of low and torque propelling it forward. This surely helped while riding through the slushy trails. The motor feels in its element when it is kept at the 4000rpm mark and is also fairly tractable. I was able to do slow speeds of around 25-30km/h in third gear without any juddering. In the city, it is also easy to get through traffic as the motorcycle is not too wide.

Highway Performance
A few vibrations crept in at the handlebar and the footpegs once I crossed the 6000rpm mark. Out on the highway, it was able to do around 100 km/h in sixth gear at about 5,000 rpm. What makes the bike easy to ride is the light clutch action, although we’d have likes it if the gear shifts were slicker.

Mileage
Riders can expect to get between 28–32 km/l, depending on riding conditions and this is acceptable for the segment it falls into. A 15.5-litre fuel tank should give a touring range of around 400 km on a full tank, making it quite useful for long-distance rides.

Handling & Ride Quality
Handling
Despite being a motorcycle on the heavier side with a kerb weight of 187 kg, the Yezdi Adventure feels manageable once in motion. The long wheelbase offers good stability, and the wide bars offer decent leverage. So with a little bit of effort, one will be able to maneuver this bike through twisty roads easily. Off-road, it feels natural to stand up on the pegs and the high ground clearance (220mm) adds to its go-anywhere capabilities.ver

Tyres
The CEAT tyres did offer really good grip. Even with the roads completely wet and through slushy trails, I had enough confidence and the bike got through without any scary moments.

Brakes
The bike gets disc brakes at both ends, with ABS that works reasonably well in most conditions. The three ABS modes (Road, Rain, and Off-Road) have also been retuned. The brake feel is adequate, though not very sharp especially when riding off-road. What I do like is the option to disable rear ABS for the trails.

Verdict
Verdict
The updated Yezdi Adventure is a sweet motorcycle to ride and offers good value for money priced starting at Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It has always somewhat reminded me of the Himalayan 411 with its looks and how it made its way through off-road trails. When you compare it to the new Himalayan 450, it is much more compact and more affordable, making it more accessible to a wider range of riders. Yezdi’s service network is not as vast as its competitors, but this is something the brand has been actively working for.

It offers decent off-road capabilities, practical touring features, and a rugged design at an affordable price point. It’s not perfect, but as a first ADV or a reliable budget tourer, it ticks a lot of boxes. Overall, it is fun to ride and more affordable than its predecessor, making a good case for itself.
Rivals To Consider
Competition
I would say that the closest competitor of the Yezdi Adventure was the older Himalayan 411 but it is now discontinued. Riders can opt for the Xpulse 210 but that is a more dedicated off-road machine or consider the KTM ADV 250, but that is much more expensive.

Redditors’ Opinions on Yezdi Adventure
Summary of Redditors' opinions
Yezdi Adventure impresses on paper and looks, and offers a solid ride experience for some, especially in short-term ownership. But poor after-sales support, reliability issues, and bad resale value dominate the long-term sentiment. It's a "buy with caution" bike, especially for riders without easy access to trusted mechanics or parts.
👍4 Positive Opinions
“Lots of Yezdi haters here. But I love the design. Just my POV” — Akash_OnePiece [For 2025 model]
“Jo bhi bolo... headlight & tail light tho mast hai” — Ok-Yogurtcloset [For 2025 model]
Bro, I bought this bike 2 months ago. -Performance is great. -Mileage: 25-30 kmpl in city, ~35 on highway. -Did Spiti circuit—no issues, solid bike. Additionally, on that trip 4 yezdi were there😅 -Cons: Parts & service availability, poor resale value. - says AccomplishedGur5495 [For 2025 model]
The bike looks good and seems like best adventure bike in the segment. I am thinking of getting the test ride soon. I liked white, black and blue colours. - says u/One_Air_1276 [for the previous-gen bike]
⚠️ 3 Mixed Opinions
The bike is sitting at a very sweet spot of around 2.5L - 2.6L for the specs that it offers, if this bike would have been offered by hero or honda at this price, people would have bought it without any second thought” — Comment by raavanx64 [For 2025 model]
This design looks appealing, but there is zero trust in the brand. - says u/TrickyTerrence [For 2025 model]
The Yezdi Adventure looks great on paper and feels solid — but in actual ownership, it’s painful. Delayed parts, poor service, frequent breakdowns, and terrible resale. - says Cold-End-6536 [For Yezdi brand in general]
👎 7 Negative Opinions:
Why make new designs when you can just copy and paste from other companies? - says u/iamarddtusr [For 2025 model]
Ah the brand that can do ‘anything but don’t wanna work on the engine’. - says hades_here [For 2025 model]
This would’ve been such a great product for its time, given they had the base of the Mojo engine (that was such a sweet and smooth engine) but the company had to go and ruin it all. - says A_Heathen_24x7 [For Yezdi Adventure in general]
The after sales is very problematic - says SiddhartOps [For Yezdi brand in general]
the bike looks like, you broke your average bike somewhere on the mountain and you have to steal other cars/bike's parts just to get it running. No hate, maybe personal preference but it looks overdone. - says marlbo_rough [For 2025 model]
They can't increase reliability and hospitality...so the only game they can play is on looks...so that's what they are doing...i will only suggest you to buy yezdi if you are a very very good motorcycle mechanic yourself. - says mysticwoan [For 2025 model]
Have had the Yezdi Adventure for 3 years now. There were rusting issues with my 1st gen bike but don't know about the latest models. Other than that I've had the stator coil replaced after 2 years which was done for free by the service center. No other issues so far. At least for me it isn't as bad as people say it is. - says BlackTiger5085 [For the previous-gen bike]
