Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Expert Overview
Overview
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is reportedly in the works, likely to be launched by the end of 2026. It will essentially be based on the already-existing Royal Enfield Scram 440, but probably with a design that's in line with the now-discontinued Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. The brand plans to launch this bike to bridge the gap between the Scram 440 and the more expensive, heavier Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, offering adventure enthusiasts something that's as old-school as the 440cc Scram, but with better highway mannerism than the Himalayan 411 - all at a fairly affordable price point.
Expect the bike to get the same 443cc air-oil-cooled engine as the Scram, churning out around 25PS and 34Nm. That said, it might get different gearing to suit its highway-friendly nature. It might have a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheels, along with long travel suspension (telescopic fork, linked monoshock). Brakes will likely be discs at both ends, with switchable ABS. We reckon it might get the same Himalayan 411's console along with the Tripper dash. This is a combo that's fairly good when it comes to being info-rich.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is likely to be priced just under Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the 350cc KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and the TVS Apache RTX 300.
