Yezdi Roadking Latest Updates
Yezdi officials have already confirmed that the legendary Yezdi Roadking will be their flagship bike and will not be based on the company’s existing platform. So, the motorcycle spotted at the dealer event might be a preview of the final production version.
The Roadking is a retro roadster bike, the paint scheme complements the retro look. It gets a boxy fuel tank with tank grips. It has LED indicators and a round headlight, likely to be LED. It features a wide handlebar, flat single-piece seat and mid-set footpegs that provide an upright riding position. It gets simple-looking side panels featuring a Yezdi logo, and sports a chunky exhaust. It also has luggage hooks under the pillion seat.
The bike comes equipped with a telescopic fork with fork gaiters and a monoshock. It would get alloy wheels, fitted with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS.
In terms of features, the Roadking gets a dual-pod analogue instrument cluster. But the toggle button on the left switchgear hints at the presence of a digital inset. It could also feature modern elements such as LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and navigation, a USB charging port, and a dual-channel ABS with multiple modes.
The Yezdi Roadking is likely to be launched sometime in late 2024 and could be priced at around Rs 2. 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rivals the QJ Motor SRC 500, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400 and also the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 450.
