Tork T6X Highlights
The Tork T6X has already been spotted testing on Indian roads and has also been teased in a video. The Pune manufacturer has already set up its first fast-charging station in the city as well, with the launch of its motorcycle expected between late-2019 and mid-2020.
The bike features a unique trellis frame where the subframe is hinged right below the rider’s seat area. The frame uses the battery pack as a stressed member, with the electric motor housed right behind it. Furthermore, the bike’s motor is mounted on the swingarm, which is similar to the setup featured on conventional internal combustion-engined scooters. The BLDC motor produces 6kW and 27Nm, and drive to the rear wheel is sent via a chain.

The 72Ah lithium-ion battery is rated for 1000 cycles and requires just one hour to charge up to 80 per cent. The T6X will weigh just 130kg, and this mass will be brought to a stop by a 267mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, with the assistance of CBS. Tyre sizes are 80/100-17 up front and 110/80-17 at the rear, while the motorcycle is suspended on a telescopic front fork and monoshock.
Tork will equip its bike with a 4.3-inch touchscreen colour TFT display that will get app-based features as well as cloud connectivity. Functions such as navigation as geo-fencing will be available. Also on the features list are phone charging capabilities, LED turn signals and an LED tail-lamp.
