Overview

Electric two-wheelers in India broadly come under two major categories: low-speed and high-speed EVs. The former is a lot more affordable and does not require a license to ride. Consequently, it is the most significant contributor to sales in the EV segment.
Bounce intends to change this with the newly launched Infinity E1 electric scooter. Does it bridge the gap between the accessible low-speed electric scooters and the feature-packed high-speed ones? Here’s everything you need to know about it:
Launch Story:

Ride-sharing platform Bounce launched its first electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity E1, in the country back in December 2021. It is priced competitively and also packs a few tricks up its sleeves.
Likes And Dislikes:

Considering its claimed specs and features, the Bounce Infinity E1 certainly seems promising. But how do these stack up in the real world? We took it out for a ride, and here’s what we liked about it (and what we didn’t). And if you’d like to go through a more pictorial representation of the review, check this out.
Top 5 Highlights:

Wondering what kind of features the Bounce Infinity E1 packs? If you’re planning to buy one and want to know more about the e-scooter, head here.
Photo Gallery:

You can take a closer look at the Bounce Infinity E1 in our detailed photo gallery here. And if you’re wondering how it stacks up against the TVS iQube Electric in images, check this out.
Colours Explained:

The Bounce Infinity E1 comes in several colours -- some funky and the others elegant -- to suit riders with varying tastes. Here’s a low-down on all the colour variants.
Test Ride Details:

Bounce has already commenced test rides of the Infinity E1. If you’re keen on taking one out for a spin, here’s what you have to do.
Verdict:

All in all, the Bounce Infinity E1 neatly bridges the gap between low-speed and high-speed electric scooters not only in performance but also, more importantly, in terms of cost. The swappable battery reduces the downtime of an EV considerably, alleviating range anxiety. Moreover, offering the e-scooter with the battery pack as a service makes it highly affordable. Though the quality levels are on par for an e-scooter at its price point, there still is some scope for improvement. We also hope the throttle and braking are improved in the production version.
Summing up, if you’re in the market for an affordable electric scooter for your daily commute, the Infinity E1 is kind of hard to ignore.
Pros & Cons
Good Things
- Pricing is aggressive, buyers have multiple purchase options.
- Removable battery makes charging the vehicle easier.
- Being lightweight, the Infinity E1 has good handling dynamics.
Could Be Better
- Storage space is very low for a scooter.
- Larger riders may find it really small
