Hero HF 100

The Hero HF 100 is a successor to the HF Dawn, which served as the most entry-level commuter motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp for a long time. Currently, the Hero HF 100 is the most affordable motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market and is essentially a pared-down version of the HF Deluxe commuter bike, with fewer features and different colour schemes.

The Hero HF 100 is available in a single variant in India, which is priced at Rs 59,018 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes with a Kickstarter as standard. The colour options offered on the HF 100 by Hero MotoCorp are Red Black and Blue Black.

Hero HF 100 Engine

Along with the entire design, the Hero HF 100 also shares its single-cylinder, air-cooled, 97.2cc engine with the HF Deluxe, which shares it with the Splendor Plus. This engine is paired with a 4-speed transmission and claims 8.02PS @ 8000rpm and 8.05Nm @ 6000rpm.

Hero HF 100 Suspension & Brakes

Hero MotoCorp has given a basic mechanical setup to the HF 100, with this entry-level commuter motorcycle getting a telescopic fork at the front and 2-step adjustable hydraulic coil springs at the rear. The Hero HF 100 has 18-inch alloy wheels shod with skinny 2.75-18 tyres at both ends. The braking setup of the HF 100 is pretty basic, with the motorcycle having 130mm drum brakes for both wheels.

With a 9.1-litre fuel tank, the Hero HF 100 has a ground clearance of 165mm, while its seat height is 805mm. 

Hero HF 100 Key Features

Being the most affordable four-stroke motorcycle in the country right now, the Hero HF 100 is the only motorcycle in India which doesn’t get an electric starter and continues to have a traditional Kickstarter. Other bare-basic features offered in the Hero HF 100 are engine cut-off at fall, side stand engine cut-off, and a 735mm long seat. It also has a dual-pod all-analogue instrument console with only the generic data on display like speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge.
