TVS Star City Plus Highlights
The price of the TVS Star City Plus has been hiked this year, and it now retails at Rs 66,390 (ex-showroom Delhi). You can read more about the price hike here. The BS6-compliant version was launched back in January 2020.
TVS Star City Plus Price:
The TVS Star City Plus is offered in two variants: Mono Tone and Dual Tone. Thankfully, the difference between them is merely aesthetic. They are both priced at Rs 66,390 (ex-showroom
Delhi), which is a premium of Rs 525 over the previous price.
TVS Star City Plus Features:
The TVS Star City Plus BS6 is the first motorcycle in its segment to get an all-LED headlamp. Apart from this, the headlamp cowl is slightly tweaked to look sportier and it also features new graphics for better aesthetics. The bike gets an analogue-digital combo cluster with Econometer, service reminder and a malfunction indicator apart from the regular trove of information. There’s a USB charging port just behind the headlamp cowl too. As far as safety is concerned, it comes with standard CBS.
TVS Star City Plus Engine:
The BS4 TVS Star City Plus’s 109cc single-cylinder motor made 8.4PS at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm at 5000rpm, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the BS6 TVS Star City Plus’ fuel injected motor makes 0.21PS lesser (8.19PS), but the peak torque output remains unchanged. Thanks to the addition of a fuel injection system, the throttle response and the cold start ability should be better than the carburetted version. TVS claims a top speed of 90kmph, which is decent enough for a commuter of this class.
TVS Star City Plus Suspension & Brakes:
As it is a basic commuter motorcycle, the Star City Plus gets a conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shocks. The bike is brought to a halt by drum brakes (130mm front and 110mm rear) at both ends. We wish TVS had offered a front disc brake at least as an option, though.
TVS Star City Plus Rivals:
The BS6 TVS Star City Plus primarily competes with the Hero Splendor iSmart 110, Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear and Honda CD110 Deluxe. In terms of its pricing, it also goes up against popular scooters like the Honda Activa 6G and Hero Maestro Edge 110.
TVS Star City Plus Price
The price of TVS Star City Plus starts at Rs. 65,865. TVS Star City Plus is offered in 1 variant - Star City Plus Mono Tone BS6 which comes at a price tag of Rs. 65,865.

Star City Plus Expert Review
TVS has launched the Star City Plus BS6 at Rs 62,034 for the single tone colour variant and Rs 62,534 for the dual-tone model. In comparison, the TVS Star City Plus BS4 single-tone version costs Rs 53,502 and 55,034 for the dual-tone variant. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. This makes the BS6 TVS Star City Plus around Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500 more expensive than its BS4 predesessor. For more details regarding the launch, check this out.
The TVS Star City Plus BS6 is the first motorcycle to get an all-LED headlamp in its segment. Apart from this, the headlamp cowl is slightly tweaked to look sportier and also features new graphics for better aesthetics.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the BS4 TVS Star City Plus’s 109cc single-cylinder motor makes a modest 8.4PS at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm at 5000rpm, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the BS6 TVS Star City Plus’ fuel injected motor makes 0.21PS lesser (8.19PS), but the peak torque output remains unchanged.
As it is a basic commuter motorcycle, the Star City Plus BS4 gets a conventional telescopic fork and twin rear shocks. The bike is brought to a halt by drum brakes (130mm front and 110mm rear) at both ends. All these bits have been carried over in the BS6 version as well.
Currently, the BS4 model gets five single-tone colours, four dual-tone shades, and two special liveries to choose from. The special liveries include a Kargil edition to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. This particular edition costs Rs 1,000 more than the other dual-tone shades.
At Rs 55,034 (ex-showroom Delhi), the TVS Star City Plus BS4 bears a slight premium over the Bajaj Discover 110 CBS but is more affordable than the Honda Dream Yuga. However, the BS6 TVS Star City Plus primarily competes with the only other BS6-compliant 110cc bike, the Hero Splendor iSmart 110.
