Design
The Hero Super Splendor XTEC has a conventional commuter bike design. It gets a headlamp cowl, large side panels, and a clean, integrated pillion grab rail. The updated graphics and bodywork give the bike a refreshed appearance without straying far from its familiar Splendor identity.
ColoursThe Super Splendor Xtec is offered in 4 colour options: Matt Nexus Blue, Matte Axis Grey, Gloss Black, and Candy Blazing Red. Whereas the Xtec 2.0 variant is offered in the same colour options, but with Matte Chestnut Brown being an additional colour. The stickering in the Xtec 2.0 is also different.
Features
The Hero Super Splendor XTEC features an LED headlight, LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, and call/SMS alerts. It also includes a real-time mileage indicator, service reminder, side-stand down engine cut-off sensor, USB charging port, and ‘AutoSail’ (Hero’s name for its low rpm assist technology). Safety FeaturesThe bike gets CBS (Combined Braking System), side stand engine cut-off, and the Xtec 2.0 variant gets hazard lights as well. There’s no single-channel ABS even as an option.
Rider and Pillion comfort
The Super Splendor Xtec is a commuter bike with an upright, neutral riding posture which should be comfortable enough to ride around the city even in traffic.
The seat height on this bike is 788mm, which should be accessible enough for most Indian riders. The kerb weight is 122kg for the drum variant and 121kg for the disc variant which are decent figures for a bike of its class.
Due to the long seat, the pillion should have enough space to move around and sit for longer duration.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Powering the Super Splendor XTEC is a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is shared with the Hero Glamour XTEC. It makes 10.84PS at 7,500rpm, 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system - it shuts off the engine at idle and restarts it with a pull of the clutch lever. Hero claims the mileage figure of standard variant to be 68kmpl and Xtec 2.0 to be 72kmpl.
Handling & Ride Quality
The bike gets a telescopic fork and 5 step-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. It has 18 inch wheels at both ends with 80 section front and 90 section rear tyre. Braking is handled by a 130mm drum at the rear and 240mm disc/ 130mm drum (depending on the variant) at the front.
The Super Splendor has a reputation of being a no-nonsense 125cc commuter built for both rural and urban roads, so expect it to be comfortable on most of the bad roads.

September 12, 2025: The Hero Super Splendor Xtec has become more affordable thanks to GST 2.0. The bike has a price cut of to Rs 7,487. Under the new GST rules, bikes under 350cc will be taxed at 18 percent instead of 28 percent.
