Hero Hunk 440 SX Overview

The Hunk 440 SX is a scramble-style motorcycle from Hero. It’s essentially a rebadged Mavrick 440, and was unveiled at EICMA 2025.

Hero Hunk 440 SX Design

The Hero Hunk 440 SX has a rugged and sporty design with a scrambler-like look. The front gets a round LED headlamp, a small visor and wide handlebars that give it an aggressive stance. From the side, it looks muscular with a large fuel tank, twin-outlet exhaust and raised tail section. The bike rides on chunky tyres, adding to its bold and adventurous appeal. Along with this, the bright red paint scheme and silver panels give it a sporty vibe.

Hero Hunk 440 SX Engine 

The Hero Hunk 440 SX is powered by a 440cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers around 27PS and 36Nm. This is the same unit as seen on the Hero Mavrick 440 and Harley-Davidson X440. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and features ride-by-wire technology.

Hero Hunk 440 SX Underpinnings

The Hero Hunk 440 SX is built on a strong frame that should offer good stability and strength. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, 110/70-17 at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear. There is a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc brake setup with dual channel ABS. The bike weighs around 187kg and has a comfortable seat height of 803mm.

The Hero Hunk 440 SX comes loaded with modern features like a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. It also offers ride-by-wire throttle, multiple ride modes, traction control and switchable ABS for added safety. Other highlights include knuckle guards, a split seat and an upswept, twin-outlet exhaust that enhance its rugged scrambler appeal.

Hero Hunk 440 SX Competition 

While the Hero Hunk 440 SX is not meant for India, it is positioned in the same category as the  Triumph Scrambler 400 X, Yezdi Scrambler and Honda CB350RS.
