Honda CB350RS - The Neo-Retro Bike To Get?

The Honda CB350RS is one of the best looking neo-retro motorcycles in the Indian market. It gets the same engine as the H’ness but overall is a much more sporty and modern looking motorcycle. With Honda’s brilliant reliability and built quality the CB350RS becomes a motorcycle which should be in every aspiring customer’s list of consideration.
Design
-
The CB350RS looks quite appealing with its beautifully executed retro modern design.

-
The metal tank looks good and the overall stance of the motorcycle makes it look sporty and compact.

-
In my opinion, the Rebel Red Metallic paint scheme option of the CB350RS looks the best.

-
Overall, the CB350RS easily sits as one of the best-looking motorcycles in the segment.
Features
-
The CB350RS gets an all-LED light setup along with an analogue speedometer, and an LCD screen which shows other necessary information.

-
It also supports smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts.

-
Overall, the console is quite simple and easy to read even under direct sunlight.

-
The CB350RS also gets a slip-and-assist clutch along with a switchable traction control system and dual channel ABS which makes the motorcycle safer to ride.

-
Other useful features include a neatly-integrated USB charging port.
Riding Posture & Comfort
-
When compared to the H’ness, the CB350RS has a sportier stance which I found to be quite comfortable for my 5’9” frame.

-
The footpegs are slightly rearset but not at all uncomfortable.

-
The seat on the CB350RS is wide and even the pillion comfort is quite good with plenty of room to move around.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
-
The CB350RS uses the same engine as the H’ness CB350, which is an extremely refined and characterful motor.

- The power delivery is very linear and it gets up to high speeds quite easily.

-
However, due to the taller gearing, the low-end and mid-range performance from this motor is not that good. I found myself downshifting every time I needed to gain speed.

-
Despite this, the CB350RS sits happily at a 100kmph out on the highway. It is almost vibration free even at those speeds
Handling & Ride Quality
-
The CB350RS handles quite well and stays planted while cornering. Once the motorcycle is on the move, its 179kg kerb weight cannot be felt.

-
I found the braking to be quite good for the kind of performance the CB350RS offers. Even the dual channel ABS works really well.

-
The CB350RS runs on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup with block pattern tyres which ensure good grip and highway stability.
Should You Buy The CB350RS?
-
The CB350RS makes a lot of sense for anyone who wants a modern retro motorcycle with a reliable engine, engaging performance and sporty handling.

-
It can be ridden in a sporty manner as well, thanks to its sporty ergonomics, which the H’ness does not have.

-
For people who want a laid back and relaxed motorcycle in every aspect, then the H’ness is the one to consider.
Pros & Cons
Good Things
- The neo-retro design has been executed very well and the bike looks pretty good
- Engine is very smooth and refined, with no vibrations felt even at higher speeds
- Brakes are very responsive and provide good feedback
Could Be Better
- Is quite a bit expensive when compared to its rivals
- Lacks a distinct flavour, and feels like just a slightly altered variant of the CB350 H’ness
- Engine lacks the bottom end torque expected from a long stroke motor

- CB350rs reviewI chose this bike because mainly my routes are on highways and ofcourse, because of the japanese reliability honda offers, plus it's the best bike in the segment in my opinion as it gets a fair amount of safety features like traction control, dual channel abs and because of the slipper clutch provided, gear changing and overall the engine is butter smooth. Also it gives the best mileage in the segment too, as I have ridden a classic 350 before, I can definitely tell the difference. Rides are butter smooth, it's like the bike is gliding, absolutely 0 vibration, it's not that comfortable as the hness 350 as it has a more aggressive riding stanc than the hness, but it's fairly comfortable, not that bad, the only thing bugs me are the stock seats, it's very uncomfortable for the pillion and your rear may hurt a little on long rides, but overall I'll rate it a 4/5, which is not bad at all. If you want the best looking neo retro bike in the segment, the cb350 RS is for you hands down, it has great mileage, very low maintenance cost, fairly comfortable (change the stock seats) and it feels rarer than other bikes in the segment as the BigWing network is so limited, and that gives you the satisfaction you need.Read More
- Excellent BikeI must say, it is a very good bike at this range because of the mileage and the power. The comfort of this bike is also top notch. I would recommend this bike to my friends. Also the engine is very good. So good. Now I am planning to taking the bike to Kozhikode. The comfort of this bike is very good. The mileage of this bike is around 35 kmpl. The power of this bike is outstanding in compared to other bikes. The mileage and the power of this bike is top notch at this range. The comfort of this bike is also great. The power of the engine is also very impressive at this range. So yeah, I would recommend this bike to everyone.Read More3 2
- Smooth Engine, Great Looks, Efficient Mileage!!I was willing to go in 160cc or above. I took test drive, the engine smoothness and stunning look are the 2 key factors. Apart from that Cb350rs has better mileage than speed 400 and price range is also lower comparatively. Better than Triumph in mileage and better than RE in performance. It’s suited for those who are willing to do rides on weekends and wants to use as daily commute as well. Highway ride is better compared to city. Still having 350cc with dual channels abs helps you out manoeuvre others and gives extra edge while breaking. City mileage between 33.5 to 36 kmpl and highway mileage varies between 38 to 44 kmpl, depending on riding style and roads.Read More6 7
- Big bike for big guysRS is basically scrambler but its retro finish looks very good also its size in lines with my tall and muscular stature, this has good height better milage than other, heavy weight bikes also this makes you different. Ride is very comfortable and smooth on highways, it will literally melt the rider very satisfying and also easily manageable in traffic and gear shifts are very important in such situations which is well supported in the RS Yes it is very easily recommendable for anyone who is looking for a good looking heavy bike for both cruising and offroading even in daily commute to hobby riding it basically caterers to all the needs that can ariseRead More1 9
- Good in the highways, not that good in the citiesIt has really good looks Honestly it is a retro scrambler like a royal enfield but i went for the honda for its engine and mileage Honda has a good reliability record The engine has a perfect rythm that will make you fall in love. I have rode around 5000 km The suspension is stiffer than expected especially in the rear. Great handling . Needed a sprocket change earlier than expected but the service is good and the price is also descent. It has good mileage on the highways but i usually drive it in the city, still not bad Good looks and a lovely engine rhythm Not recommended for city use the tall gearing is really annoying in the cities.Read More11 4

- Retro with loaded power and japanese reliabilityRiding this bike is like riding in heaven, the sound is so peaceful to hear the exhaust note nice and milage is also good as compared to other bikes and the low end torque is also good, the reliability of the bike is so good because of honda but the experience with service centre was not so good overall bike experience was niceRead More1
- scratchless mint condition bikethis bike truly stands out with its smooth single cylinder engine; this strikes a perfect balance between comfort and the performance. One of the strongest aspects is its reliability, delivering its impressive milage of 35-42kmpl. Perfect choice for daily commuters and those who love highway journeys.Read More1
- My overall experience with this bike.My overall experience with this bike is really very nice and I'm very happy to buy this beast for my daily purpose and it's was also my dream bike in this price range and in my budget I bought this bike in July,2025 and the riding posture is very good and for our city the bike suits very well and the mileage I got on highway is around 39 to 40 kmpl after the first service and in city it's around 34 to 35 kmpl. It depends on the way you are riding the bike and I feel very good by purchasing it. The build quality is solid from all side the brakes are very good and the bite the brakes give is awesome and the overall look of the bike I love it.
