How many variants does Jawa 42 have?

The new Jawa 42 now comes in 3 variants. The base variant starts at Rs 1,72,942 (ex-showroom Delhi). It features an analogue instrument console with a digital inset, single-channel ABS, spoke wheels and tube tyres. It is only available in gloss colours. The mid-spec variant starts at Rs 1,82,942 (ex-showroom Delhi) and includes all the features of the base variant but with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The range-topping variant is priced from Rs 1,89,142 (ex-showroom). It comes with a fully digital instrument console, USB charging port, dual-channel ABS, alloy wheels, and tubeless tyres as standard and is available in matte colours with both single-tone and dual-tone options.

How many colours does the Jawa 42 get?

The Jawa 42 has received 6 new colour options and comes with a total of 13 colours: Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Sirius White Matte, Nebula Blue, Celestial Copper Matte, Orion Red Matte, All Star Black Matte, Infinity Black Matte, Cosmic Carbon, Starship Blue, Cosmic Rock and Celestial Copper Matte DT.

How does the Jawa 42 perform in the city?

The Jawa 42 is equipped with a 294cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, J-Panther engine, producing 27. 32 PS and 26. 84 Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. It has enough power and grunt to effortlessly ride around the city. It can easily overtake most vehicles and even ride through traffic with ease.

Moreover, Jawa has made some notable improvements to the engine in the latest update. The manufacturer claims the 294cc engine is more refined than before and delivers a smoother and more enjoyable riding experience. The gearbox is also updated to make gear shifts smoother, especially while shifting between the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. The Jawa 42 already has an easy-to-reach handlebar and mid-set footpegs, providing an upright and comfortable riding posture, however, the raised footpegs position may make taller riders feel a bit cramped. The bike has a powerful engine that can ride effortlessly around 80kmph - 90kmph on the highway and can also handle high-speed overtakes.

Moreover, the Jawa 42 now gets an updated suspension setup which is tuned to provide a smoother riding experience. The bike also has a new seat that has better padding and more foam than before, promising a comfortable ride to both the rider and the pillion.

What is the mileage of the Jawa 42?

Jawa claims a mileage of around 30-35kmpl in mixed riding conditions. So, you can easily get a range of around 350kmpl from the 12. 5-litre fuel tank.
