TVS Apache RR 450 Expert Overview
Overview
The TVS Apache RR 450 test mule was spotted on public roads in India for the first time. The fully-faired sportbike will be based on the new BMW-TVS 420cc parallel twin-cylinder engine platform. TVS has also now filed a design patent for the Tangent RR Concept bike in India.
TVS Apache RR 450 Design
The spied bike looks to have sharp supersport inspired styling with an aggressive stance and a tall windscreen. It will likely be a design evolution of the TVS Tangent RR Concept that was unveiled at EICMA 2025. A large single-piece winglet is visible at the front. It uses fairing-mounted mirrors and has a slim tail section. The tail-light is integrated into the turn indicators. The riding position looks sporty but not extreme. Clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs are visible, but the posture seems more road-friendly than a hardcore track machine, similar to the Apache RR 310.
TVS Apache RR 450 Engine
The upcoming TVS Apache RR 450 will use the new 420cc parallel-twin engine developed jointly by TVS and BMW. Here it could make around 50PS and 45Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter and a slip-and-assist clutch.
TVS Apache RR 450 Underpinnings
The test bike was equipped with an upside-down fork and rear monoshock – both likely to be fully adjustable. The front brake caliper had BMW branding and even the rotor looked similar to the one on the BMW F 450 GS – likely due to shared development.
TVS Apache RR 450 Features
The instrument console is not clearly visible, but a TFT console is expected. It will also possibly have many electronic rider aids like traction control, engine brake control, cruise control, cornering ABS and traction control, etc. – building on features already offered on the TVS Apache RR 310.
TVS Apache RR 450 Price & Rivals
The TVS Apache RR 450 is expected to be priced at Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will likely be unveiled at EICMA 2026, with a launch at TVS MotoSoul in December 2026. It will go up against other 400-500cc parallel twin sportbikes like the Aprilia RS 457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500.
