Likely to be powered by the BMW F 450 GS’ engine
-
The production bike is still a couple of years away
TVS has just unveiled the supersport concept called ‘Tangent RR’. While details of the bikes are still under wraps, we think it might be based on the 450cc parallel twin engine platform built in collaboration with BMW Motorrad. This gives us a glimpse into what the upcoming TVS Apache RR 450 supersport may look like. Here’s everything you need to know:

The concept bike looks super aggressive and sporty. The fairing looks sharp, and the windshield is pretty large too. The clip-on handlebars also come with a steering damper for better high-speed handling. If it’s indeed powered by the 450cc motor, then it will likely produce around 47PS. TVS also says it has a monocoque sub-frame made out of composite materials. This should help in the bike’s handling while keeping the weight down. But then again, there has been no information about the bike’s weight either.
The bike gets a twin disc setup up front, with premium Brembo callipers, and a disc at the rear. It also gets fancy adjustable Ohlins inverted fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, along with an aluminium swingarm and grippy slick tyres.

We expect the bike to feature all the bells and whistles that we have already seen on the Apache RR 310. The production bike will likely offer electronic riding aids such as a traction control system, multiple riding modes and also a cruise control system.
The launch of the final production version of the bike is still at least a couple of years away, in our opinion. TVS might target around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom) pricing, and will be aimed at Aprilia RS457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500 riders. Other than this, TVS has also unveiled their first electric bike concept, and it has a ton of features, including bits we usually only see on cars!
