TVS Apache RR 450 Spy Shots: Key Changes Spotted

A test mule of the upcoming TVS Apache RR 450 was spotted testing in India. This is the first time it has been seen on the public roads. Here’s our in depth analysis about the bike:

Design Inspired By Tangent RR Concept

The production bike is expected to draw styling cues from the TVS Tangent RR Concept unveiled at EICMA 2025 in Milan. The concept showcased a sharp, aggressive design with muscular fairings, a sculpted tank, aerodynamic winglets, and a sleek tail section.

The bike that was spotted has a large single piece winglet – something seen on the BMW S 1000 RR. The taillights are integrated in the indicators – just like the F 450 GS. The riding posture seen on the test bike appears sporty but not fully committed, similar to the TVS Apache RR 310.

Engine Shared With BMW F 450 GS

This TVS Apache bike will use the same 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine from the BMW F 450 GS. In the BMW, it makes 47.6PS and 43Nm. In the Apache, it could get a more performance-focused tune as this will be TVS' new halo bike. It is expected to be paired to a 6-speed gearbox, with a slipper clutch and quickshifter.

Hardware And Features

The Tangent RR concept showcased high-end components including an Öhlins inverted fork, preload-adjustable monoshock, aluminium swingarm, twin Brembo radial front brakes, steering damper, and lightweight monocoque subframe made from composite materials.

While the production TVS bike may not retain all these premium parts, that said the underpinnings on this bike will still be upmarket. The test bike has an upside-down fork – possibly fully adjustable, and the front brake caliper and rotor have BMW badging – likely only for testing. Electronic aids could include riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, and a TFT console – building on features already seen on the Apache RR 310.

Launch Timeline & Rivals

TVS has not announced an official launch date, but the production Apache RR 450 is expected to debut globally at EICMA 2026, with an India launch likely in late 2026 at TVS MotoSoul in December. Pricing could be around Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s expected to rival the Aprilia RS 457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500.
