TVS RTR 125 vs TVS Raider 125: Specification Comparison
These two TVS 125cc bikes are poles apart in terms of everything

TVS recently unveiled its sportiest 125 cc bike, the TVS RTR 125 at EICMA 2026. We have compared it with the brand’s sporty commute, the tvs raider. Here is everything you need to know:

-
The TVS RTR 125 gets a liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces 3.5PS more than the Raider 125.
-
This difference in power is because of the RTR 125’s engine architecture, it uses a much more modern liquid-cooled motor with a 4-valve DOHC setup.
-
The engine on the Raider 125 on the other hand, has been designed to give a perfect balance between usable performance, and fuel efficiency.
-
The RTR 125 is also likely to be a higher-revving motorcycle, thanks to its liquid-cooled setup and higher 9,000 rpm power peak, compared to the Raider's 7,500 rpm.

The TVS RTR 125 gets sportier underpinnings, including a trellis frame, KYB inverted fork and a rear monoshock, which should make the bike a better handler.
-
The bike also uses much wider looking radial tyres along with larger disc brakes at both ends when compared to the Raider 125.
-
The Raider, on the other hand, gets a disc upfront and a disc/drum setup depending on the variant you select.
BikeDekho Says
The TVS RTR 125 hosts many features and is packed to the brim for a 125 cc bike. But we have to break the news to you – the bike is not for the Indian market; it is more focused on the European market for A1 licence holders who want a sportier starter bike.
All said, a sporty 125 cc bike will not make much sense in the Indian market because we don't have licence restrictions based on engine displacement. Thus, paying a premium for a sporty 125 cc bike will not make sense when you can get a motorcycle with more outright displacement and power for the same price.
But the design of the bike is unlike that of any other TVS motorcycle, and if this new design language makes its way to the brand's other offerings, it could give buyers a fresher option to consider.
