TVS Apache
The TVS Apache range of motorcycles is produced by TVS Motor Company, a two-wheeler manufacturer based in Hosur, India. TVS offers a selection of five new Apache bikes in India. The starting price for the TVS Apache is Rs 1.19 Lakh, which applies to the cheapest Apache bike, the Apache RTR 160. This particular model features a 159 cc engine and claims a mileage of 47kmpl. The highest-priced bike in the Apache lineup is the Apache RR 310, priced at Rs 2.72 Lakh. It is equipped with a 312cc engine and with 33kmpl claimed mileage. The popular Apache series also includes the Apache RTR 160 2V (Rs. 1.19 Lakh) and the Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 1.23 Lakh).
The TVS Apache family originated from the TVS Fiero, a commuter bike with a focus on performance that was developed to compete with the popular Hero Honda CBZ. The Apache 150, an enhanced version of the Fiero, eventually evolved into the Apache RTR 160. The "RTR" acronym stands for Racing Throttle Response, which highlights the brand's expertise in racing. It was designed as a competitive response to the highly popular Bajaj Pulsar 150. TVS actively participates in various national racing championships, both on track and dirt, with its Apache motorcycles.
Currently, there are five TVS Apache models available for purchase in India. The flagship model is the TVS Apache RR 310 (priced at Rs 2.40 lakh), a motorcycle developed in collaboration with BMW Motorrad. It offers segment-first riding modes, aggressive styling, and several connected features in its latest version.
Among the Apache models, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V (priced at Rs 1.19 lakh) is the most affordable and also one of the oldest variants. It shares a similar appearance with the Apache RTR 180. The latest version of the RTR 160 2V features an LED headlight, a smartphone-connected instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, Glide Through Technology (GTT) for smooth low-rpm riding in traffic, and three riding modes.
The modern Apache models, such as the RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V, come equipped with advanced features like a four-valve head, oil-cooling, and race-tuned suspension, staying true to the brand's sporty DNA. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V was the first bike in its segment to offer multiple riding modes, along with an information-rich instrument cluster that includes turn-by-turn navigation. TVS even introduced a highly limited edition Apache RTR 165RP, a production bike that pays homage to the iconic Apache GP165R race bike.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (priced at Rs 1.46 lakh) was also the first bike in its segment to feature turn-by-turn navigation, premium adjustable Showa suspension, and multiple riding modes. On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 180 (priced at Rs 1.32 lakh) is the only 180cc bike available in India and remains one of the oldest Apache models still in production. It recently received several upgrades, including GTT, smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, and three riding modes. Each member of the Apache family, ranging from 160cc to 310cc, has been meticulously fine-tuned to deliver exceptional performance.
In the future, TVS is expected to introduce a naked version of the Apache RR 310, likely to be named the TVS Apache RTR 310. However, the specific launch date for this model is yet to be revealed.

TVS Apache User Reviews
Blend of both style and practicalityRTR 180 and 160 2V both may not feel so comfortable at first and it require some time to get used to over long urban commutes. Good for touring as well, best with speeds upto 80-90 kmph and vibrates a lot after that. Decent mileage. Easy on pocket ownership cost. Became more affordable post GST 2.0. Go for it if you are looking for a motorcycle that is simple yet sporty.Read More

One of the best above 300 cc bike you can have. For my inter state rides as I currently live in Ranchi but my home city is Chaibasa so I have to travel between these city a lot and this bike feels best when I ride for a longer distance. The major reason was the height of the bike, as I am 6.1 ft 24M, it is the best height bike for me. As I can feel that this bike is not for daily commuters as it is quite big for the Indian roads but the whole seen changes when you ride it on highways. I feel confident while riding this, one of my cousin have RE Himalayan and when compared to it, this bike feel more agile and is more practical. I would recommend this bike to only those who wants to have a best all rounder bike as it has best in the market technical specs, (even I have not fully explored all the modes of the bike thus far), it feels confident to ride on in many situations. And to top it all off, it has best engine as both BMW and TVS came together in this.Read More
A Durable Bike with Excellent Ride QualityI chose this bike because I love riding the Apache. I haven't found the same level of comfort in any other bike in this segment and the riding posture is also very comfortable and perfectly balanced and relaxed on every ride. The ride quality of Apache RTR 160 has been very good so far. For long routes, city ride the most important things are comfort and riding posture, and that's what really makes this bike's ride quality better. Everyone has their own choice, but I would definitely choose this bike in this segment. As per current regulations, bikes are subject to scrapper after 15 years, and if this bike is properly maintained, it still run like day one even after 15 years. It's a very durable machine.Read More
