Ampere Electric Scooters Price List 2024 in India

Ampere is a Coimbatore based electric two-wheeler startup founded in 2008. The company used to offer electric cycles, electric scooters, and even e-scooters for the disabled. While Ampere used to sell lead-acid battery-powered EVs, later with Aurangabad-based Greaves Cotton’s investment in 2018, Ampere forayed into the lithium-ion battery-powered EV segment. Apart from investment by Greaves Cotton, Ratan Tata had also invested in the brand. In 2019, Greaves Cotton fully acquired Ampere (then called Ampere Vehicles). The company set up its manufacturing facility called the Ampere EV Mega Site at Ranipet, near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, where it also features its brand experience center.

Ampere currently offers three electric scooters: Primus, Zeal EX, and Magnus EX. The Zeal EX is the most affordable electric scooter but with a sporty design. On the other hand, the Magnus EX and the Primus have a more matured styling, and are also loaded with features. Ampere launched the Magnus EX in 2021. The Ampere Primus was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023, in January, and was launched in February.
