Who is the Owner and CEO of Hero MotoCorp?
Hero MotoCorp is owned by the Munjal family and the brand’s CEO, Chairman and Managing Director is Dr Pawan Kant Munjal. Hero MotoCorp’s history goes back to 1984 when Honda Motor Company and Hero Cycles got together to start Hero Honda Group. Under this joint venture, Hero Honda made motorcycles and scooters. What is i3S Technology in Hero Bikes?
The i3S stands for Idle Stop-Start System. This technology automatically switches off the engine after the bike is idling in traffic for a while and then turns the engine back on with a pull of the clutch lever. This system helps Hero bikes and scooters save fuel by preventing the engine from staying on unnecessarily when stopped. The i3S was first introduced on the Splendor i-Smart and is standard across almost all motorcycles and scooters from Hero.
