Hero Destini Prime is the most affordable 125cc scooter in the market. It is a capable scooter that focuses on everyday use, city commutes and can also be used for occasional long rides. It shares its 125cc engine and underpinnings with its sibling, the Hero Destini 125, which costs almost Rs 9,000 more. Let's find out how the Destini Prime performs in the real world:
Design
The Destini Prime has a sleek and modern design. It looks elegant and comes in three vibrant colours including Nobel Red, Pearl Silver White and Metallic Nexus Blue. Its smooth curves and attractive colours make it stand out. Its curvy lines and attractive colour options make it an eye-catcher on the road. The chrome accents and alloy wheels complement the overall design.
At the front, it gets apron-mounted indicators and DRLs (daytime running lights), along with a chrome panel that joins both indicators. The rear-view mirrors match the scooter’s body panels' colour. It gets a spacious seat with a single-piece grabrail and an external fuel filler cap.
Features
The Hero Destini Prime comes with a halogen headlamp with LED daytime running lights (DRLs). It gets bulb-type taillights and indicators. Its semi-digital instrument cluster includes an analogue speedometer and an inset screen that shows information such as the odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock, and maintenance reminder.
The scooter has spacious underseat storage with a boot light that comes in handy during low-light conditions. The boot also has a USB charging port. It has an external fuel filler cap and a 5-litre fuel tank.

The Hero Destini Prime has a well-cushioned seat that provides a comfortable riding experience to both the rider and the pillion. It has a comfortable riding position, thanks to the easy-to-reach handlebar and spacious floorboard.

The Hero Destini Prime has the same 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Destini 125 that makes 9.09PS and 10.36Nm. It is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The 125cc engine has enough power for everyday commuting. It smoothly rides through city traffic and also provides decent real-world tested mileage of 61.6kmpl in the city, but it is not that efficient on the highway, with a mileage of 49.19kmpl. It gets a 5-litre fuel tank.

- best scoter in this priceI used this scooter for 10k kilometres and hear me out, it's acceleration is insane but don't see the Ntorq because see the price and the mileage is 50kmpl when I rode it gently and 42 when I rode it fully rough and its top speed is 100 if wind blast is not too much, otherwise 80-90 is normal and it's breaking isn't the best but still good at this price. - Self start of destiny prome stop working sometimesI have purchased Hero Destiniy Prime in May 2024. In July self start was not workinh properly. The workshop recharge the battery and service done (paid). In Oct-Nov 2024 once again the self start not working, display not working, speedometer not working and kick start working like second hand vehicle. the workshop again taken it for service (paid) with fault in battery which have been under process of exchange with new battery due to within waranty period. the exchange process takes almost one week, till then the second hand battery is being used. one more thing there is very less space under the seat, even putting helmet under the seat crating problem with bulb lightening inside when vehicle is on rest. it drain the battery charge while rest which is also one reason for self start not working in morning.Read More
