Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid

The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is one of those scooters that focuses more on style than outright practicality. The prices for the 2026 facelift range from Rs 76,500 to Rs 95,200 (ex-showroom). Yamaha has kept its core character intact, but added a slight design refresh at the rear. If you’re looking for something that balances style, ease of use, lightness and mileage, the Fascino remains a good option. It is available in three variants: Drum, Disc, and S.

The Fascino carries forward its curvy, retro styling, but with a slightly updated rear design. It gets a more compact tail section, along with a redesigned taillight and indicators. Overall, the design hasn’t changed drastically, but the updates make it feel slightly more modern.

It is available in a total of eight colours, depending on the variant. The Drum model gets three colours: Vivid Red, Metallic Black, Metallic White. The Disc version also has three shades: Cool Blue Metallic, Metallic Light Green, Dark Matte Blue. The S variant gets two paint schemes: Matte Grey or Matte Black.

The scooter gets a colour TFT console on the S variant, while both other versions get a simpler analogue setup. The TFT supports Bluetooth connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-connect smartphone app and gets turn-by-turn navigation, phone alerts, and music controls. 

The scooter also comes with a silent starter that doubles up as an electric motor which assists in acceleration, an engine idle stop-start system, side-stand down engine cut-off sensor, 21-litre under-seat storage, LED headlight and tail light.

Rider Comfort

The riding posture is upright and comfortable. The light weight makes it easy to ride in the city, while the seat should offer adequate comfort for daily commutes.

Pillion Comfort

The pillion seat is decent. The grab rail looks good, but an optional cushioned backrest would’ve made pillion comfort much better.

The Fascino is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.2PS and 10.3Nm (with hybrid assist). It is E20 petrol-compatible, and meets the latest BS6.2 emission norms.

City & Highway Performance

In the city, the scooter will feel light and easy to ride. The hybrid assist should help with initial pickup in traffic. On the highway, it’s best suited for short runs.

Braking

The Fascino comes with a 190mm front disc (or 130mm drum) and a rear drum brake, along with a combined braking system. We’d have liked it if it at least had single-channel ABS, even as an option.

Handling

The Fascino has always been easy to handle, and this version should feel similar since the underpinnings remain unchanged. At 98kg kerb, it is one of the lightest scooters in the segment, and this greatly aids in the scooter’s agility.

The Fascino 125 competes with the Vespa ZX 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125, Hero Destini 125, and Suzuki Access 125. Other rivals can include sporty scooters like the TVS NTorq 125, Hero Xoom 125, Suzuki Avenis, and Honda Dio 125.
