Yamaha Motor’s subsidiary announced entry into the Indian EV leasing market. Head here to check out the story. The Yamaha Neo’s is an electric scooter aimed as an alternative to 50cc ICE scooters. It packs a brushless DC hub motor that produces 2.06kW with a top speed of 40kmph in Std mode, and in Eco mode, it makes 1.58kW, and a top speed of 35kmph. Furthermore, it has a claimed range of just 38.5km (eco mode).
The Yamaha Neo’s gets a KYB telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it uses a disc-drum setup. Its features include keyless start and a small LCD instrument that can be paired to the smartphone via the Yamaha MyRide app. This console displays speed, battery level, time, and call and message alerts.
