TVS iQube ST - Best Electric Family Scooter?

Design
- The TVS iQube ST gets a modern design that’s eye-catching, with premium-looking parts that feel quite elegant.
-
Its design is quite neutral with smooth side body panels and appeals to a wide range of buyers
-
The scooter gets a sleek headlight with DRLs and a blacked out windscreen above that adds quite a nice touch to the design
-
Its colour options – Copper Bronze Matte, Titanium Grey Matte, and Starlight Blue Grey – are look good with the complimenting graphics adding a nice touch
-
The Starlight Blue Grey is our favourite colour option of the three.
- The metallic badging in the middle of the body panels looks quite premium
-
The grab rails too, have a streamlined shape and are in line with the pillion seat, giving the scooter a clean look
-
The alloy wheels add a stylish character to the electric scooter’s design
Features
-
On features front, the electric scooter comes with a 7-inch TFT display showing crucial information like speed, range, and battery among other readouts
-
The scooter also gets smartphone connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and music controls.
-
The scooter also comes with a USB charging port for added convenience
-
It also gets regenerative braking that helps to increase the range slightly
-
The park assist reverse mode is quite useful when navigating tight parking spaces or when parked on gradients
-
For safety, the scooter gets geo-fencing, overspeeding alert, built-in eSIM that allows for anti-theft alert and live location of the vehicle
-
As an added layer of safety, it comes equipped with a combined braking system
-
The scooter also gets 32 litres of underseat storage, giving it immense practicality and can accommodate a lot of things, and even a half face helmet
- The floorboard area is decent and most riders won’t feel cramped.
- The scooter horn is loud enough and manages to alert others well.
Comfort & Storage
-
The electric scooter’s seat area is wide enough to accommodate most Indian riders, both rider and pillion combined
-
The rider seat is well-padded and offers good comfort for city commutes as well as longer rides
-
The seat height of 770mm is very accessible, and all kinds of riders can put their feet down easily and balance the e-scooter well.
- The rider seat is quite spacious and offers a comfortable riding experience.
-
The pillion seat is a bit small and sloped forward which can cause the pillion to slide onto the rider in the event of hard braking
-
The pillion footpegs are slightly rear set and can cause a little discomfort when ridden for longer distances
Motor, Battery, & Range
-
TVS iQube is powered by a hub motor, producing 4.4kW of peak power and 140Nm. That’s quite adequate for a family electric scooter
|
Motor |
Power Output |
Top Speed |
|
Hub motor |
4.4kW |
78kmph for 3.5kWh |
|
82kmph for 5.1kWh |
-
The scooter feels quite nice and has refined city riding experience
-
The power outputs of the variants are different, so you may feel a little bit different experiences when riding the scooters
- The scooter sprints quite fast from a standstill, making it ideal for city traffic
-
The power delivery is linear and the scooter has enough juice at any given speed to accelerate at the twist of the throttle.
-
The 3.5kWh variant has a claimed range of 100km, while the 5.1kWh variant has a claimed range of 150km.
-
It gets a 950W charger that charges the 5.1kWh variant in 4 hours 18 minutes (For 0-80% of charge).
Handling & Ride Quality
-
The scooter is agile due to its lightweight nature and is very easy to maneuver in the city, thanks to its 12-inch tyres and good chassis balance
-
Its highway stability is good too, with the suspension setup working in a sync to provide a good riding experience
-
The front disc brake offers excellent stopping power and is able to stop the scooter effectively, but the feel from the lever is a bit lacking.
-
The tyres also offer good grip and inspire confidence when leaning.
-
The front suspension is comfortable and absorbs most bumps on the roads
-
The rear suspension on the other hand is quite stiff and can throw you around on sharp bumps and potholes, even with a pillion
- The rear suspension on the other hand is quite stiff and can throw you around on sharp bumps and potholes, even with a pillion or some extra weight. But, it does help in preventing the scooter bottom out.
Is the TVS iQube ST right for you?
-
If you are looking for a value for money scooter that blends performance, comfort and practicality in a single package, the iQube ST might be the perfect pick for you
- With a lot of features, technology and a very neutral design that is modern too, the scooter has everything a modern family scooter needs. Also, it's produced locally, meaning the spare parts are quite affordable too.
-
It may not be the fastest e-scooter, but it definitely is one of the most practical and reliable scooter that will give the petrol bikes a run for their money
Pros & Cons
Good Things
- The e-scooter has good power and performance, and can easily keep up with city and highway traffic
- The design is simple and minimalistic, and the scooter overall feels quite elegant
- The scooter has a real world range of 100km
Could Be Better
- Only gets turn-by-turn navigation, and misses out on full-fledged navigation, which its rivals get
- The scooter misses out on a fast-charger, which could have made charging a lot easier
- The suspension is slightly stiffer, so bumps and potholes will be felt

- This is an amazing bike launched in ev categoryBecause of the range this bike is too good because I was getting irritate because there is too many bikes in the market with low price but they are not giving a great range that this bike giving to us. Riding this bike is so comfortable and it can take you to a long ride because the range that it is providing is so nice in this low price category because range is an serious issue in ev bikes because of that people fear from purchasing ev bikes. Yes, in ev category I will highly recommend this bike. Not because of its range but also because of its running speed and fast charging and once you bought this bike anyone can use it so easily and you can put your heavy stuff on it without any worries.Read More6
- THE BEST OGTVS is known for its stable long run scooter can trust for the daily usage smoother than other evs in the market and provide good run and also the build quality is better than other loved the scooter till yet The silent motor and smooth drives make the drive smoother and easier the seat is soft and good making it easy for me to travel long and also the suspension is ok not stiff love the drives and the features Yes i would definitely recommend as the plus point is after sales difficulties are not there which is the best thing and the smooth features always love to drive and ride long way my run is of 50 km per day making it smootherRead More2 4
- Buy from saving of yearsThe reason I picked iQube was financial. I calculated my petrol costs vs. charging, and the savings were massive over 3–4 years. Add to that, the low maintenance of EVs and TVS reliability — it was an easy decision. The iQube has made my city commute stress-free. It’s easy to ride, charges overnight, and runs the whole day without issues. Acceleration is great, and handling is nimble. The only downside is the charging infra on highways. Service experience is smooth. The iQube is worth recommending to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and modern EV scooter. It suits city commutes. However, people who need frequent intercity travel or higher ranges may not find it suitable.Read More5 2
- best in mileage in one chargeMy primary reason was to reduce fuel costs. I travel around 30 km daily, and petrol expenses were piling up. The iQube offered a good balance of range, performance, and brand reliability compared to newer EV startups. The experience so far is positive. It’s very comfortable, especially with its silent motor and smooth pickup. I enjoy the tech features. Negatives would be slower charging and limited top speed compared to petrol bikes. Service has been professional and reliable. The iQube is perfect for urban users who want comfort, range, and brand trust. It suits families and working professionals. However, if you ride long distances daily or crave high top speeds, it’s not for you.Read More1 6
- A COMFORTABLE VEHICLEBought the vehicle 2 months ago, had to say it is quite comfortable and easy to drive, battery backup at this price is okk. It takes 3-4 hours to get charged completely. It easily gives a range of 80km to 100km. Pickup is quite slow and lacks that swiftness you need in day to day traffic. So in summary vehicle is decent, good for daily commuters but not enough for drive enthusiastsRead More1 4
