Pleasure Plus Expert Review
Hero Pleasure Plus Review - Still a relevant scooter from Hero’s scooter portfolio?
The Hero Pleasure Plus was launched as a more friendly alternative to the Honda Activa in India. The scooter is easy to ride, reliable and returns decent mileage when compared with its competition. Although it wasn’t able to dethrone the Activa from the best-seller, the Pleasure Plus managed to become popular in a specific buyer range who wanted a lighter, more agile scooter for daily commutes that offered similar practicality.
Design
-
The Hero Pleasure Plus gets a typical family scooter design with smooth bodylines that give it a very friendly look and doesn't intimidate new riders.
-
In the front cowl, the halogen headlight gets a brushed aluminium bezel that adds to its design appeal.
-
The indicators are separated by a similar plastic body panel with a brushed aluminium finish that strikes a balance between retro and modern design.
-
The rear view mirror stalks along with the mirrors have a metal finish.
-
The design is quite rounded and the scooter is quite narrow that makes it accessible to a lot of riders.
-
The floorboard is spacious enough but may feel cramped when riding with some luggage.
-
The Hero Pleasure Plus’ exhaust shield gets a metal finish and compliments the scooter’s design well.
- With the blacked out alloy wheels and bright colour schemes, the scooter does stand out of the crowd.
Features
-
The Hero Pleasure Plus gets an analogue instrument console that is easy to read with bold markings.
-
The scooter gets a halogen headlight that does the job and provides adequate illumination.
-
The scooter comes equipped with a combined braking system as an added safety feature.
-
It also gets an i3S stop-start system, that switches off the engine when idle and starts it again at the twist of the throttle.
-
The USB charging port placement is a bit weird though, with the port facing downward towards the floorboard it's a hassle to plug your devices in.
Riding Posture & Comfort
-
The scooter has a neutral riding position with a handlebar that is quite low and wide enough to help turn the scooter easily.
-
But, taller riders might have a problem with the scooter when maneuvering it in the city as the low handlebar can strike their knees.
-
The seat is long and wide enough to accommodate both the rider and the pillion easily.
-
The padding on the seat is quite soft and feels quite comfortable in the city but on longer rides, the rider will sink into the seat making the experience a bit uncomfortable.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
-
The Hero Pleasure Plus shares its engine with the Xoom 110, which is quite reliable and smooth.
Engine |
Power |

Transmission |
110.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled |
8.05PS |
8.07Nm |
CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) |
- The 110cc engine is smooth and refined to ride around in the city.
-
The engine with its linear and smooth character, also returns decent mileage.
-
The throttle is well-calibrated and doesn't feel jerky, making the bike easier to ride for new riders.
-
The scooter accelerates till 70kmph comfortably and can cruise at 75kmph but there is not much performance left after this point and the engine starts struggling.
-
That said, the scooter does best what it is designed to do and works best in the city.
-
A little more highway capability would have made the scooter a more versatile package.
Handling & Ride Quality
-
Thanks to its low kerb weight of 106kg, the Pleasure Plus is nimble and changes direction easily without the need of any efforts.
-
The suspension setup is on the stiffer side and the rider will need to slow down for most of the bumps.
-
That said, the scooter is stable enough to handle the city roads but on the highway it feels a bit unstable.
-
The 130mm drum brakes at both ends are inadequate and you will need to squeeze the levers quite hard to bring the scooter to a halt.
-
That said, a front disc brake setup should solve the problem, offering better stopping power.
Should you buy Hero Pleasure Plus
-
The Hero Pleasure Plus is a good family scooter that does everything well.
-
If you are in the market for a decent scooter that is rider friendly and suffices all the needs of your family, you can not go wrong with Pleasure Plus.
-
With the price tag it carries, addition of some more features might bring more value to the buyer’s money.
Hero Pleasure Plus Pros and Cons

- Looks cute and retro with the new styling
- Bigger engine make it more effortless to ride
Things We Don't Like
- Feels nervous at higher speeds
- Brakes don't offer much feel and require a hard squeeze to come to a stop quickly
- Misses out on a digital redout in the instrument cluster

- I recently purchased.I recently purchased the Please Plus Scooty, and I must say, it's been a great addition to my daily commute. Here are some of my thoughts on the scooter: The Please Plus Scooty has been giving me an impressive mileage of around 50-60 kmpl, making it a great option for daily commutes. The scooter has a comfortable seat and ample legroom, making it perfect for long rides. The sleek and modern design of the scooter turns heads on the road. The scooter takes a bit of time to pick up speed, which can be a problem in heavy traffic. : The Please Plus Scooty is a great option for those looking for a reliable and fuel-efficient scooter.
