TVS has teased the upcoming BS6 Scooty Zest on its website. The scooter is expected to be launched soon and is likely to carry a premium of around Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 over its BS4 counterpart. For reference, the outgoing BS4 model gets a starting price of Rs 52,525 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The TVS Scooty Zest appeals to the fairer sex. It comes with a truck-load of features including 3D logos, silver oak interior panels, dual-tone seats, an LED DRL and an underseat storage light. TVS offers four matte colour options - purple, blue, black, yellow and red under the Matte series and a single turquoise blue under the Himalayan series.
The Scooty Zest draws power from the 110cc air-cooled engine seen on the Wego and Jupiter. The BS4-compliant motor, which will soon be updated to meet BS6 norms, puts out 8PS of power and 8.4Nm of peak torque, while weighing in at just 97kg (kerb). Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and a monoshock while drum brakes at both ends help anchor the scooter.
The Himalayan series is priced at Rs 52,525 while the Matte series will set you back by Rs 54,025 (ex-showroom Delhi). The TVS Scooty Zest 110 competes against the BS6 Hero Pleasure Plus.

Scooty Zest Expert Review
The Scooty Zest is the most affordable 110cc scooter in TVS's portfolio. The scooter was launched in Matte series that thas five matte colour options. The scooter has a large headlamp which with its halogen setup, emits a bright beam. The tail lamp is an LED unit. It gets a large underseat storage bay retractable hooks, under seat hooks, a USB smartphone charger, an under seat light, a textured and broader floorboard.
Power comes from a 109.7cc motor that makes 7.9PS at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The engine is coupled to a CVT gearbox. Claimed fuel efficiency is 62kmpl while claimed top speed is 80Kmph. The scooter weighs just 97Kg which makes it quite easy to ride and manouevere. Suspension setup includes front telescopic forks and rear single shock absorber. It gets tiny 10-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Braking is via drum brakes at both ends.
Design and Features
TVS Scooty Zest features a petite profile that is likeable from the outset. The front apron gets a sharp end, daytime running lights at the top and big vertically-aligned turn indicators. There is a big headlamp for viewing the road brighter than ever, analogue console for essential vehicle information, a wider twin-tone seat for enhanced comfort, enlarged floor board that gets a textured look, a rear grab rail and the LED tail lamps. The scooter gets plenty of storage spaces and utility features. To name some, there is an 19 litre under seat storage, an open glove box in the front apron that’s quite handy while you are on the move, retractable hooks, under seat hooks, a USB smartphone charger, a under seat light, a textured and broader floor board to stack larger goods. The seat material looks very upmarket while the new color schemes give it a trendy look.
Dimensionally, it measures 1770mm long, 660mm wide and 1139mm high. Seat height is 760mm and the wheelbase sits at 1250mm.
Engine and Performance
The Zest 110 is powered by the air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke 109.7cc engine which now complies with the BS-IV emission norms and churns out a max power of 7.9PS at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.4Nm at 5,500rpm. Coupled to the light 97kg weight, it makes the Scooty Zest 110 a nippy performer. The engine is coupled to a CVT gearbox that is pretty smooth. The claimed fuel economy of the Zest is 62kmpl while top speed is a claimed 80kmph.
Braking and Handling
The Zest 110's suspension setup includes telescopic front fork and a single rear hydraulic shock absorber. The 10-inch wheels get 110mm drum brake at the front and a 130mm drum at the back. The wheels are shod with tubeless tyres for enhanced grip and control. Tyre sizes are 90/100-10 at the front and 90/90-10 at the rear. The tyres are grippy and keep the scooter stable and in control even in the corners.
Safety and Features
In the safety department, the Scooty Zest gets tubeless tyres that are grippy enough to maintain stability and offer an extra range to the rider to reach to a nearby service station in case of a puncture.
