TVS Scooty Pep Plus

The Scooty Pep Plus's compact dimension makes it an ideal for novice riders and learners alike. The Scooty is among the most iconic names in the India two-wheeler industry and was among the first gearless scooters available on sale. The low seat height and lightweight meant that the Scooty Pep Plus is a popular scooter among female riders. The TVS Scooty is available in seven colour options. The Pep Plus is a stylish scooter with a two-tone paint job, LED DRLs and alloy wheels. It gets a mobile charging socket and a glove box at the front.

The Pep Plus is powered by an 87.8cc air-cooled single which is the smallest motor in the TVS scooter family. The air-cooled motor is B6-compliant and delivers a respectable 5.43PS and 6.5Nm of torque. The base variant is priced at Rs 63,284 while the Matte Edition and Princess Pink variant retail at Rs 66,184. On the other hand, the Special Edition costs Rs 64,284, all prices ex-showroom Delhi. 

TVS Scooty models are designed to attract the female riders mainly. It is slim, sleek and lightweight design that helps the female riders to master them with ease. The features like eazy centre stand and easy kick start option have been given to the range that ease parking for female riders and is easily accessible in the city traffic conditions.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus designed like a cute little bird that is highly appreciated by the girls. It is among the most lightweight machines that weigh about 95kg only. The headlight is fixed at the handlebars along with the rear view mirrors. Its instrumental cluster comprises of an analog meter displaying speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. There is a good under seat storage for the rider’s convenience. The tail lamp is simple, sober and compliments the pleasant design of the scooter.

TVS Scooty Streak’s design is pretty muscular compared to its predecessor and the overall looks are decent. The front portion is faired well which matches perfectly with the overall flow of the body profile. The headlamp section is now more wider which ensures sharper looks and better visibility on roads at night. The tail lamp section is impressive with only one of its kind multiple red LED's stacked in a horizontal fashion. The primary tail light housed below, adds to the visual feel. The turn indicators also find a space with them to blend perfectly. The consecutive LED's now add more appeal to the looks when viewed from rear. The rear panel is now stronger and improved as compared to its sibling scooterette. The under seat storage is also enhanced. This gives an extra space to our shopaholics for those extra goodies. The overall body dimensions of the streak are bigger in numbers in comparison to the baby scooty. This gives the streak a handsome stance in public.

TVS Scooty Zest has the most appealing appearance among its siblings. Designed to the match the current trend, the scooter has swoopy designs. The front apron looks magnetic with twilight lamps. The smart headlamp and Leaf shaped body colored rear view mirrors go well with the muscular design. It also sports the first back-lit speedometer with eco indicator. LED tail light with stylish side indicators illuminates the rear profile of the scooter. The scooter holds an under seat storage space of 19 liters. There are under seat helmet hook and bag hook, front bag hook and glove box for the rider to carry its articles along with ease.

TVS Scooty range is designed to provide extreme safety and comfort. The lightweight machine’s design is mainly emphasized on female riders so the features are set accordingly.  Its 12V headlight that lighten up the road well in the dark and offers proper visibility at nights. The 90 x 90 10" tubeless tyres provide good gripping on every type of road surfaces. It is easy to stand and quick to start that makes it easily accessible. Both TVS Scooty Pep Plus and Streak are equipped with 87.8cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, forced air-cooled engine that has automatic CVT drive with torque sensor. The engine can generate a maximum power of 5.43PS at 6,500rpm and peak torque of 5.8Nm at 4,000rpm. Besides it develops the supreme power, the motor is claimed to deliver a best-in-class mileage of 65kmpl. The Pep Plus comes with a fuel tank capacity of 5 liters while that of the Streak is 4.7 liter only. Whereas, TVS Scooty Zest houses with a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, CVTi engine. The motor produces the peak power of 7.9bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.7Nm at 5,500rpm. The company claims that it can generate a good mileage of 62kmpl along with class leading power to weight ratio and quickest pick-up of 0-60 kmph in 11.1 seconds.

The range of TVS Scooty is on progress with 90/90-10-inch tubeless tyres provided at both the ends. The braking is done by 110mm drum brakes at both wheels of Pep Plus and Streak. However, the rear wheel of the Zest receives 130mm of drum brake. The brakes work well but it can be improved by employing of disc brakes. The suspension duties are very well completed with the help of  telescopic front forks and rear double rated hydraulic mono shock.
