      Awesome Bike
This is an awesome bike I have ever seen. I'm so happy with this bike from the Hero company in India and it is one of the best bikes in India.

The super mini bike ever in India.
The vehicle I used in 1991 to 96" 2stroke version. I enjoyed a lot with this 2stroke little monster, the vehicle has extreme pickup and I never used 1st gear for the initial movement of the bike, always I used it to move on 2nd gear, for some times even for doubles I started it on 2nd gear with a little acceleration. its max speed is 72kmh without vibrations. it gives me 89kmpl in long run, whereas in the city it gave 84kmpl. after an overall mileage of 140000km, I disposed of it for a bigger bike. but at the time of sale, it had not faced any problems.

      Amazing Bike with great Features
I would like to begin with adding the Hero Puch never had disc brakes and as far as I can remember the bike was discontinued somewhere between the late 1990s and probably mid-2000s. I bought the 2G from a friend in 2002 or so. It was my first geared 2 wheeler ever and it taught me practically everything one would learn on a motorcycle. In those days for a full tank, I could go the entire week plus a little extra for the weekend outing with friends. If the KTM Duke 390 had a previous life, it had to be the Hero Puch. The 2 stroke engine could any day make the holeshot from a standstill. Even with tyres that were 5th sizes of the like of a Kinetic Luna and TVS XL, the Hero Puch 2G always stood its ground whether on-road or no road. From office commute to riding trails around the hills of Pune, this bike did it all. In fact with just 4BHP and nimble handling characteristics it gave bigger motorcycles a run for their money in the "performance" department while still giving a mileage of 60 kmpl plus. In fact, I bought the puch because a friend would get about 70-80 kmpl while riding all across town. The Hero Puch was reliable like to others. In fact, once it got a 3-inch nail through its sidewall on the rear tyre. Oddly enough after removing the nail, there was no puncture to the tube nor was there any structural damage to the tyre. Even with a pillion the bike never had any signs of lag or overburden. The only downside was the alloy swingarm due to which the exhaust manifold would come off until I got it permanently fixed with a welder. Interestingly enough I remember a time when the seat got unhinged. It was quite comical riding a step-thru moped in that condition. But yes I did get it fixed. Unfortunately like some others of its era this machine bit the dust and is now lost somewhere in automotive oblivion. Probably if this is ever revived I'd like to get my hands one and go on it burning some dust and bending some rims. Given an opportunity I would like to re-purchase my Hero Puch and keep it as an antique and memoir of my early days as a budding motorcyclist.
