Overview
Hero Electric Optima+ is one of the leading machines in company’s portfolio. It is a fancy offering by the company that offers not only pollution-free but also noise free ride and has a sleek body design. The company launched it to cater the segment which commutes daily. The scooter doesn't have a start button, but it gets started by a simple twist of the key.
Optima+ comes with an SLA 48V/20Ah battery, which takes around 6 to 8 hours to get fully charged. With a fully charged battery, Optima+ can cover a decent range of 70 kms. The SLA type battery generates 250 watts of power and pushes the machine to achieve a top speed of 25kmph.
The scooter runs on 16” x 3’” chromed alloy wheels at both, front and rear ends. The braking duties are done by reliable drum brakes. Further, it is equipped with a soft suspension. Its total kerb weight is 82 kg and it has a minimum ground clearance of 140 mm. The front profile of the scooter looks sleek with an aerodynamic headlamp. Coming to the rear, it is neatly done and sports a trapezoidal tail lamp with turning indicators.
Design
The front fascia of the scooter is furnished with an elegant and edgy headlamp section. It comes with triangular clear lens blinkers that are fitted into the apron. The company also offers a glove box at the front that can easily store goodies and makes your rider convenient. The scooter is bestowed with a comfortable seat that offer a smooth and comfortable ride to the rider as well as pillion. It comes wrapped in corrosion/UV resistant paint that further enhance its appearances and makes it look more appealing.
Talking about the rear, it comes with a simple and plain grab rail that ensures the safety to the pillion in the case of hassle and uncomforting riding conditions. It has a trapezoidal shape tail lamp along with the turn blinkers. It has a minimum ground clearance of 140mm that ensures good stability while cornering and its total kerb weight is just 82kgs that make it an easy to ride and a handy two-wheeler. The instrument console is easy to read and informative that consists of an analogue speedometer, remaining battery along with the usual telltale lights.

Hero Electric Optima+ houses a bright headlamp at the front that provides a steady beam of light even under low battery conditions. Furthermore, the scooter comes with a lockable storage compartment that promises the full security of the goodies and luggage. The scooter further features a short circuit protection kit as well to keep the vehicle safe in cases of wiring hazards and malfunctions.

Hero Electric Optima+ gets its power from a 250W electric motor, which is empowered by 48V/24Ah low maintenance silicon battery. The 48V/24Ah SLA type battery takes around 4 to 8 hours to get completely charged and it can be easily charged up with a wall plug-in socket charger. With a fully charged battery, the vehicle offers a decent range of 70kms and hit a top speed of 25kmph.
Handling & Ride Quality
This Electric scooter rides on 16” x 3” tyres which are fitted over the 10-inch stainless steel alloy wheels. The stopping ability is provided by reliable and durable drum brakes. To enhance the comfort level while riding on the scooter, the company also configured it with a soft suspension system.

The Hero Electric Optima is a popular electric scooter that comes in two variants that are both high-speed (CX) models. They both have a top speed of 45kmph.
Hero Electric Optima CX Price:
The Optima CX is available in two variants: a single battery CX variant priced at Rs 67,190 and a dual battery pack CX ER (extended range) variant priced at Rs 85,190, both prices ex-showroom Delhi post Fame II subsidy. The final price will further go down depending on the state subsidies.
Hero Electric Optima CX Features:
The Hero Electric Optima gets features such as a digital instrument cluster, cruise control, walk assist function, reverse mode, regenerative braking, remote lock with anti-theft alarm, USB charging port and an LED headlight.
Hero Electric Optima CX Motor:
The Optima CX is powered by a 550W BLDC hub motor, producing 1. 2kW of peak power. It is paired to a removable 51. 2V, 30Ah lithium ion battery pack that takes about 4-5 hours to completely juice up.
The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 45kmph. The standard CX is claimed to offer a range of 82km, whereas the CX ER variant offers a claimed range of 140km.
