Take a closer look at India's first e-scooter that can be purchased with or without battery

Bengaluru-based ride-sharing start-up Bounce has launched the Infinity E1 electric scooter, the first of its kind to be available with and without a battery pack. Check out all the nitty-gritty of the Infinity E1 in these detailed, crisp images.

The Bounce Infinity E1 gets a curvy design with a few retro-styled elements. The e-scooter features a circular LED projector headlight and smooth-flowing body panels. The headlight and taillight design is reminiscent of the 22Kymco iFlow as it's derived from the same. The Infinity E1 is offered in five colour options: Sparkle Black, Comet Grey, Sporty Red, Pearl White, and Desat Silver. Moreover, customers also have the option to customise the E1, all they have to do is pick the base colour and they can layer it on with stickers, designs and motifs.

The e-scooter gets a segment-first cruise control. Other notable features include 12-litre under-seat storage with a USB charging port, three riding modes (Eco, Power, and Drag), apron-mounted and underseat utility hooks.

The fully digital instrument cluster is compatible with a smartphone app, and the console that displays  ignition status, side stand status, battery SOC status, vehicle status, Bluetooth, speedometer, and odometer reading. On the other hand, it also sends you notifications such as tow alert, anti-theft alert and geofence alert on your smartphone.

Powering the Bounce Infinity E1 is a 48V, 39Ah IP67-rated portable lithium-ion battery that offers a claimed range of 85km, and it requires 4-5 hours to charge fully. The electric scooter is further propelled by a BLDC hub motor that churns out 83Nm, giving it a top speed of 65kmph.

Bounce is offering the E1 in two variants with and without a battery pack. Customers opting for the without battery variant will have to buy the ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ subscription scheme at an additional cost that ranges from Rs 850 to Rs 1,250 depending on the plan and will also have to pay Rs 35 per swap at the Bounce upcoming battery swapping network.

The Infinity E1 is suspended on telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, it uses a 230mm disc at the front and a 203mm disc at the rear, further assisted by a combi-braking system. The EV runs on 12-inch wheels wrapped in 90- (front) and 120-section (rear) tyres.

Now, to the price. The e-scooter is available in two variants: with the battery pack and without one. The former is priced at Rs 68,999, while the latter costs only Rs 45,099 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
