Expert Review
Overview
The Avore EX1 is the most affordable motorcycle in the new EX Series from Avore, a Gujarat-based EV startup. It sits below the EX2 and EX2S, making it the entry point into the brand's lineup. It is priced at Rs 1,24,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. The newly launched electric bike is aimed at riders looking for a commuter with a hint of sportiness.
The Avore EX1 can be pre-booked for Rs 799, with deliveries scheduled to commence from September 2026.

Design
The Avore EX1 looks the part of a commuter electric bike, but has several angular elements to make it seem a bit more youthful. It gets a projector LED headlight with all-LED lighting for the rest. The blacked-out components, alloy wheels and the contoured single-piece seat add to its sporty appeal without making the design feel too aggressive. It is available in three colour options: Starlit Blue, Meteor Red and Stellar Black. Overall, it has a decent road presence without being overly attention-grabbing.

Features & Practicality
Safety Features

The EX1 comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends along with a Combined Braking System (CBS). There’s no ABS here.
Convenience Features
The bike gets a 7-inch colour LCD that shows all the essential riding information. The EX1 also gets four riding modes, making it easier to adapt to different riding conditions as it tunes the throttle and power delivery accordingly. There’s app connectivity for remote health monitoring, trip analytics, geo-fencing, theft and fall alerts. That said, there’s no turn-by-turn navigation or even call/SMS alerts for that matter.

The onboard 3-pin charger allows you to charge the motorcycle using a standard 5A household socket. Using this takes around 3 hours to charge from 20% to 80%. The EX1 comes with a 5-year/60,000km (whichever comes first) battery warranty.
Rider & Pillion Comfort
Rider Comfort
The EX1 features an upright riding posture with a wide handlebar and neutral footpegs. This should be good enough for everyday commutes as well as occasional longer journeys.

Pillion Comfort
The pillion seat looks spacious enough for daily rides. The grab rails should also make it easier for the pillion to hold on during the ride.
Engine & Performance
City & Highway Performance
Powering the EX1 is a 7.5kW frame-mounted electric motor paired with a 3.24kWh battery pack. Avore claims the bike can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 3.2 seconds, reach a top speed of 100kmph and deliver an IDC(Indian Driving Conditions) certified range of 160km. These figures should make it well suited for city commutes, while the 100kmph top speed also means it can handle short highway rides when needed.
Gearbox
Like most electric motorcycles, the EX1 does not use a conventional gearbox. Power is delivered through a chain drive system, and riders can choose between four riding modes depending on their riding needs. This also includes a reverse mode for parking convenience.
Handling & Ride Quality
Brakes
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at the front and rear with CBS as standard. This setup should offer predictable braking performance during everyday riding.

Handling & Ride Quality
The EX1 rides on telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Combined with its upright riding position and sporty commuter layout, the setup should make the bike easy to ride through city traffic while remaining stable at higher speeds.
Rivals To Consider
The Avore EX1 rivals other electric motorcycles in a similar price range, including the Oben Rorr EZ, Ola Roadster X, and Revolt RV BlazeX.
Pros & Cons
Good Things
- Has a decent claimed range
- Can be charged using a standard 5A household socket
- Claimed top speed is decent too
Could Be Better
- Gets CBS instead of ABS
- Misses out on the TFT display that’s available on the top-spec
