Expert Review
Overview
Gujarat-based EV brand Avore recently launched the EX range of electric bikes in India. Apart from the base EX1, the brand also offers the more powerful Avore EX2 and its sportier variant, the Avore EX2S. It is aimed at riders who want more range and features than the EX1 without stepping up into Ultraviolette territory. The EX2 is priced at Rs 1,49,999 (ex-showroom), while the EX2S is available at Rs 1,69,999 (ex-showroom); both prices are for the first 10,000 customers. Initially, Avore plans to roll out the EX Series across three cities, two in Gujarat and one in Maharashtra.
The Avore EX2 can be pre-booked for Rs 799, with deliveries scheduled to commence from September 2026.

Design & Quality
The Avore EX2 and EX2S look similar to the EX1 but with a few tweaks to the bodywork. They have slightly larger tank extensions, a split seat setup, and a fancier instrument console (exclusive to the EX2S variant).

The EX2 is available in dual-tone shades including Starlit Blue, Meteor Red and Stellar Black, whereas the flagship EX2S also gets an exclusive Onyx Black dual-tone paint scheme.
Features & Practicality
Safety Features
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends with a Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard in both variants. While the setup should provide adequate stopping performance for everyday riding, the EX2 also misses out on ABS. We feel Avore should’ve given at least a single-channel ABS for the EX2S variant.

Convenience Features
The Avore EX2 gets a 7-inch digital instrument console that displays all the essential riding information. Unlike the flagship EX2S, which gets a more premium 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with AI Stack, the EX2 makes do with a conventional colour-LCD display. The motorcycle also offers four riding modes (Reverse, Eco, City, Sport) to suit different riding conditions, whereas the EX2S gets six riding modes (PAM+, Eco, City, Sports, Hyper, Gear Mode). The PAM+ riding mode is essentially a parking assist mode.

Charging duties are handled by the onboard fast charger, which takes 2 hours to charge the battery from 20% to 80%. Ensuring convenience, it gets an onboard 3-pin charger that can connect to a household 15A socket. The EX2 also comes with a 5-year (or 60,000km, whichever comes first) battery warranty, offering additional peace of mind for long-term ownership.
Rider & Pillion Comfort
Rider Comfort
The EX2 and EX2S have the same upright riding posture as the EX1, but the main difference here is the split seat setup in the former. That said, the seat profile doesn’t look too different from the EX1, and should be comfortable for daily rides.

Pillion Comfort
Despite having a split seat setup, the pillion seat doesn’t appear to be too high-set, so it should be comfortable enough for daily commutes or the occasional weekend rides.
Engine & Performance
City & Highway Performance
The Avore EX2 and EX2S are powered by a 7.5kW electric motor paired with a 5kWh battery pack. The company claims a 0-40kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds for both variants. That said, there are some small differences in the top speed and range. The EX2 gets a 255km IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range 100kmph top speed, whereas the EX2S has 5km extra range, along with a 14kmph higher top speed compared to the EX2. These numbers should be good enough for daily commutes and weekend rides.

Gearbox
Like every electric motorcycle, the EX2 does not use a conventional gearbox. Instead, it offers an Auto Mode for effortless riding, along with a simulated 4-Speed Gear Mode for riders who prefer a more engaging manual riding experience. That said, the bike does not get an actual gearbox, so this feature is more of a gimmick than something that alters the riding dynamics.
Handling & Ride Quality
Brakes
The EX2 gets disc brakes at both ends with CBS as standard. They should do the job as long as you don’t push the electric bike (which is where ABS would’ve made a big difference).

Handling & Ride Quality
The motorcycle rides on a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. Combined with its upright ergonomics, the EX2 should feel easy to manage - be it in the city or on highway stretches.
Rivals To Consider
Once launched, the Avore EX2 will compete against other sporty electric commuter motorcycles such as the Revolt RV400, Oben Rorr, and the Ola Roadster X Plus.
