Vida Dirt.E K3 Overview 

Hero has launched the Vida Dirt.E K3, which is an electric dirt bike for kids from 4 to 10 years old. It is a perfect option to consider for children interested in entering the world of competitive off-roading.

Vida Dirt.E K3 Design 

At first glance, the Vida Dirt.E K3 looks like a mini dirt bike, featuring minimal bodywork, a high-mounted front fender, and a sleek tail section. It also sports a premium-looking golden-coloured front fork, and blacked-out spoked wheels, enhancing its dirt-bike appeal. 

It is available in three colour options: Glossy Purple, Glossy White and Red, all available with funky, youth centric graphics.

Safety Features 

As the Dirt.E K3 is a kids bike, Vida has given it a magnetic, lanyard based kill switch, that immediately cuts down power if the rider is separated from the bike. Along with this, the bike also gets three ride modes: Cruise, Boost and Zoom, and the top-speed can be limited in each mode. While in the acceleration mode: Low, Mid and High, the top speed is 8kmph, 17kmph and 25kmph, respectively. 

Convenience Features 

The Vida Dirt.E K3 gets a small display that shows battery level, speed, mode and gets a Bluetooth sign. The bike supports smartphone connectivity through which parents can set the mode and also change the top speed.

Rider Comfort

The Vida Dirt.E K3 gets a single piece seat, handlebar and removable footpegs. All of which together gives it an aggressive riding stance, similar to a full-sized dirt bike. From the factory, the Dirt.E does not come with a suspension, however it can be bought as an accessory. 

Motor And Battery Pack

The Vida Dirt.E K3 comes with a 360Wh, removable battery pack which powers a 500W motor. The claimed top speed is 25kmph. The bike has a linear power delivery which should allow children to learn smooth throttle input on an off-road trail. It also gets three acceleration modes: Low, Mid and High, with top speed limited to 8kmph, 17kmph and 25kmph respectively. It also gets three ride modes: Cruise, Boost and Zoom with adjustable top-speeds. It takes 2 hours to charge from 20 to 80% and gives a working range of 2 to 3 hours, depending on the usage. 

Handling & Brakes 

The Vida Dirt.E K3 uses a unique and lightweight adjustable frame, which allows parents to adjust the wheelbase, along with seat and handlebar height as their children grow. The frame can be adjusted in three phases: Small, Medium and High. 

Brakes

The e-bike misses out on a front brake, but  gets a disc brake for the rear wheel. It runs on spoke wheels with knobby tyres at both ends. Vida provides the front brake, larger wheels and road-spec tyres as accessories.
