Indian Roadmaster Elite

19 June 2018: If the standard Indian Roadmaster wasn't premium enough for you, the company has now introduced another variant of the motorcycle with more bling called the Roadmaster Elite. The uber-luxurious cruiser is priced at a premium of Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the second most expensive motorcycles in India after the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited, which retails for Rs 49. 99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).  

Only 300 units are made available worldwide, of which only two units came to India. Unsurprisingly, both units have been sold out. However, the company has stated that it will make another unit available soon. Each of these units come with a custom dual-tone blue-and-black paint finish, which according to the company is done by hands and takes up to 30 hours! It also gets a 23-karat gold leaf ‘Indian’ insignia on the fuel tank too.  

On the feature front, the limited edition model gets a 'Ride Command System' through which you can monitor and control vehicle data, fuel consumption, Bluetooth connectivity, music control and GPS navigation via a 7-inch touchscreen. In addition to this, it also gets heated grips,  dual-climate heated seats, passenger armrests, a touring console, pinnacle mirrors and a 300W premium audio system as opposed to the 100W and 200W units found on the Standard and Classic Roadmaster. The company also offers lockable waterproof saddlebags and ABS as standard on the motorcycle.

Power comes from the same 1811cc 'Thunder-Stroke' V-Twin engine found on the standard model. This unit churns out a peak torque of 150Nm at 2900rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
