Suzuki Gixxer SF Highlights
The prices of the Suzuki Gixxer SF and the Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition have been hiked by around Rs 2,000. Even the naked version, the Suzuki Gixxer, has witnessed a similar price hike. Check out all the details here.
Suzuki Gixxer SF Price:
Suzuki offers the Gixxer SF in two colour variants. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF price starts from Rs 1,23,940 while the price tag for the Suzuki Gixxer 155 MotoGP colour edition is Rs 1,24,970. When the bikes were launched, the price premiums for the standard and MotoGP Edition were incredibly high at Rs 12,030 and Rs 12,295, respectively. Now the gap has further widened, thanks to the price hike. All prices, ex-showroom Delhi.
Suzuki Gixxer SF Features:
There aren’t any new features to talk about on the BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF. Suzuki had given the Gixxer SF a full makeover last year. What earlier seemed like a slap-on job on the naked Gixxer, the new Gixxer SF has a distinctively different front fascia with wide LED headlight. The tail section is similar to its naked sibling, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 also getting LED tail lamp. Suzuki has revamped the information console on the Gixxer SF, the layout is less cluttered thanks to a thinner font.
Suzuki Gixxer SF Engine:
The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF is powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine. The BS6 motor now puts out 13.6PS at 8000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6000rpm, which is 0.5PS and 0.2Nm less than the BS4 mill. There are no changes to report on the five-speed transmission though.
Suzuki Gixxer SF Suspension & Brakes:
The Suzuki Gixxer SF was already a capable handler and the same holds true even now. The chunky telescopic fork and preload-adjustable mono-shock of the Gixxer SF have been tuned for a sporty ride. You get disc brakes at both ends and single-channel ABS comes as standard.
Suzuki Gixxer SF Rivals:
There are no direct rivals for the Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Yamaha R15 v3 and the Hero Xtreme 200S are the only two bikes that come close to the Suzuki Gixxer SF in terms of capabilities. But when it comes to alternatives in the same price bracket, it also competes against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220, Suzuki Intruder and the affordable colour variants of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

- Q. What is better suzuki gixxer sf 150 or yamaha fz s v3. Iam looking for comfort, mileage, enginereliabilityand maintenance. And suzuki gear box is little harder when compared to yamaha fzs in testride.. Is thatcommon for new bikes or is it just for suzuki.. Will that come to normal..A.
Both bikes have reliable engines and both are easy for pocket to maintain. If we talk about Suzuki Gixxer SF, with its premium quality and fit and finish, the Suzuki Gixxer is an undoubtedly impressive motorcycle. But this premiumness comes at a price. The massive hike is hard to justify and the BS6 update has robbed it of performance. It would be a great pick if you want a faired bike with descent performance and fuel efficiency. The 5-speed gearbox has improved its shift quality, but there’s still scope for improvement. On the other hand, in nearly every aspect, except maybe ergonomics and braking, the Yamaha FZS-FI v3.0 fails to impress. While its motor offers better fuel efficiency compared to the previous-gen model, it lacks grunt. You may compare both the bikes accordingly.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF was known for its strong bottom and mid-range performance, which made it a fun-to-ride bike in the city. The new motorcycle carries forward all the positive aspects of the older bike and the better handling dynamics make it an even better bike. The fully-faired Gixxer SF has taken on a more sporty tone - you get clip-on instead of a single piece handlebar, and there are split seats too so using it for family commute would be difficult. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for the bike so as to get a clear understanding of the ease and comfort. Click on the given to get your nearest dealership details: Bike Showrooms.
Both the bikes are of the different segments. If you want a full fairing sporty bike at price and fuel efficiency is also your priority, you may go for Suzuki Gixxer SF. On the other hand, TVS Apache RTR 180 is fun to ride bike. It offers better power and handling also good braking too. So, do take a test ride in order to clear your all doubts. Check out nearest authorized dealership details. You may also compare both the bikes according to their variants.
For this, we would suggest you walk into the nearest authorized service centre as they will be the better person to assist you. You can click on the following link to see the details of the nearest service centre and selecting your city accordingly - Service centre
