The Continental GT 650 keeps its cool cafe racer style but with a modern touch. They've added alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and LED headlights to make it look even fancier, while still keeping that old-school vibe. The gorgeous colour schemes available for the cafe racer goes well with the blacked-out mechanical parts, giving it a unique and cool look. The old school design language has its own charm that commands attention everywhere it goes. 

Powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine, the Continental GT 650 has ample low-end torque, meaning the cafe racer can be easily ridden in the city. You don’t have to constantly keep the motor at higher revs to have enough performance to go about  your daily commutes.

On the highway or any open stretches of road, the Continental GT 650 can quickly reach triple digit speeds and you can cruise at those speeds comfortably for long periods of time. The acceleration is quite smooth and the torquey engine makes sure that there’s enough grunt for quickly overtaking vehicles on the highway.

With alloy wheels and the tubeless Vredestien Centauro NS tyres, the Continental GT 650 gives you great control of the bike and a smooth ride. It easily handles twists and turns, and even when you brake hard, the bike manages to remain steady and composed, giving you an exciting and enjoyable ride. It has quite a heavy kerb weight of 214kg and a committed cafe racer riding posture. But despite these, the Continental GT 650 is agile enough to navigate busy city traffic situations. 

As mentioned above, this bike is quite heavy and has an aggressive riding posture. So, at slow speeds and turns, it might make you a bit uncomfortable. It might take a while for one to find their own comfortable position while riding the bike. The suspension does a good job of handling bumps, though, so on slightly bumpy roads, your ride stays pretty smooth. But it’s better to slow down for the bigger bumps.

The Continental GT 650 doesn’t come with a big list of modern features but it does get an LED headlight which is a nice touch to the overall retro appeal of the bike. The addition of alloy wheels and tubeless tyre setup further elevates its functionality and aesthetics. The twin-pod analogue instrument console looks really cool but the inaccurate fuel gauge might be a bit of a pain from time to time. 

If you are in the market specifically for a cafe racer that has a good balance between retro looks and touch of modern features, then the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is the one you should look out for. It is quite heavy and has a very committed riding posture, for sure. But the bike makes up for it with the smooth and torquey motor, great handling characteristics and beautiful looks.
