The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 offers a relaxed riding experience thanks to its comfortable seating posture which includes a new mini ape hanger handlebar and forward set footpegs. Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 - Introduction

Royal Enfield launched the Goan Classic 350 in 2024, and it is a bobber bike that is meant to live up to the chill Goan vibe. It is the brand’s first bobber-style 350, blending laid-back charm with Rock-and-Roll styling. Built on the proven Classic platform, it brings a fresh new look complete with ape-hanger bars, a floating seat, white-walled tubeless spoked wheels, and a low, relaxed stance. This bike aims for soul-soothing, coastal-town vibes rather than aggressive touring and seems to be perfect for riders who value this chill vibe. The bike also gets attractive colour schemes, new design elements, and a comfortable riding position, which has taken inspiration from Goan culture. But does the bike really make you feel at peace? That is exactly what I tried to find out after spending a week with the motorcycle.

    Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350

    4.0
    Design & Quality

The Goan rightfully earns its bobber tag with minimal, purposeful styling. Compared to the Classic, it has shortened fenders, a floating single seat, sculpted mini-ape handlebars, and an exposed tail section. The tubeless spoked wheels with retro whitewall tyres amplify its vintage appeal. The all-round LED lighting adds a modern touch without straying away from the classic vibe. The Goan rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 16-inch rear wheel.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Design

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Colours

The Goan has youthful and expressive colour schemes. The options on offer include Trip-Teal, Rave Red, Shack Black, and Purple Haze, all of which are well detailed and catch attention on the streets. Personally, I really like the bright vibe of the Trip Teal colour scheme, and it seems to be the most popular one out there.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Colours

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Build Quality

The Goan has the Classic’s familiar and durable build. Minor tweaks like the extended swingarm and retuned rear suspension keep the platform robust while adding in some subtle enhancements. The quality of panels, switchgear, and finish is on par with RE’s modern standards, delivering a rugged yet refined feel.

    4.0
    Features & Practicality

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Convenience Features

It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster with a retro analogue speedometer and a small digital inset for essential readings that is a bit hard to read. The instrument cluster also has a Tripper navigation pod, with turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and messages. Additionally, it features a USB C-type charging port (with fast charging), adjustable levers, and all-LED lighting. The tubeless spoke wheels, which do look properly retro, have the convenience of managing punctures easily.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Features

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Safety Features

Dual-channel ABS and disc brakes are offered as standard, and the bike also has a side-stand engine cut-off feature.

    3.5
    Rider & Pillion Comfort

With a low 750 mm seat height, it becomes the lowest in the 350 lineup, making it incredibly accessible. The mini-ape bars and forward-set pegs create a relaxed, slightly stretched-out posture. It is perfect for cruising the coast, though longer rides may highlight the firm ride quality while riding solo.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Seat

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Pillion Comfort

There is a bobber-style floating seat available, but it isn’t designed for pillion comfort. Royal Enfield embraces form over function here. Riders can expect solo-focused ergonomics, with the bike opting more for character over practicality.

    4.0
    Engine & Performance

Powered by the familiar 349cc air-cooled J-series engine, it generates about 20.2PS at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. The bike comes with a 5-speed gearbox, and the latest version comes with a slip-and-assist clutch. The power delivery is smooth, torque-rich, and well-matched for a cruising riding style.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Engine

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: City Performance

Urban rides feel easy and composed. With the relaxed gearing, strong low-down torque, and a light to operate slip and assist clutch, the bike handles city traffic easily, even in higher gears, thanks to its tractable nature. It is forgiving, stable, and undemanding to ride despite its heavy weight. The only time its weight is felt is at a standstill or while removing the bike from a tight parking spot.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Performance

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Highway Performance

The bike feels at home between 80-90kmph, but above that, vibrations begin to creep in on the bars, tank, and pegs. So it is suggested to keep it within 90 km/h for a smoother ride experience. It is mainly built for the Goa-lazy rhythm, and not high-speed dashes.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Riding Shot

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Mileage

The claimed ARAI-rated mileage stands at 36.2 kmpl, and in the real world, riders can expect to get 33kmpl with a mix of riding in different conditions. It should easily be able to do 390km with its 13-litre fuel tank.

    4.0
    Ride Quality & Handling

Despite its heavier bobber stance, it handles fairly capably on winding roads. Some riders might have concerns about the tall bars, but they vanish quickly as the bike is easy to handle and feels planted. Its weight distribution and steering geometry feel stable and intuitive, even while making slow-speed U-turns.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Handling

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Tyres

Riding on new CEAT Zoom Classic tubeless tyres fitted on the tubeless spoked wheels, the grip was good for the type of motorcycle it is and the performance it offers. As mentioned earlier, fixing a puncture is easy, which was a smart functional choice by Royal Enfield.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Tyres

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Brakes

Stopping power is predictable, though the front brake could have had a sharper initial bite. Still, for its cruising nature, braking works decently well. The ABS intervention was okay throughout my time spent with the bike, but under emergency braking, the intervention might feel very sudden and increase braking distance.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Brakes

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Ride Quality

The front end feels well-composed, but the rear is noticeably firm, and that is expected from a bike in this segment. On smoother roads, it is pleasant, but when I hit broken tarmac or potholes, it can be felt in the spine. This is a point to consider for riders who want to do longer rides, but as an everyday city bike, it is not too much of an issue.

    4.0
    Verdict

The Goan Classic 350 stands out as a unique motorcycle that combines nostalgic aesthetics with a calm and effortless ride experience. It is not for speed demons or long-haul comfort seekers, but for riders who want to express individuality and enjoy soulful cruising, it is accessible, charming, striking and overall, feels like a piece of art.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 Verdict

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350: Variants

The Goan comes in a single variant with only colour schemes differentiating them. Prices for this single variant range between Rs 2.37 lakh and Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai), depending on the colour option you pick.

Starting at Rs 2.18 lakh and going up to Rs 2.21 lakh (ex-showroom), it sits at the top of RE’s 350 range, making it approximately Rs 40,000 higher than the Classic 350. For customers drawn to style and presence, the aesthetically rich bobber vibe justifies the premium. Here is a detailed list of pricing for the colour schemes on offer:

      The 350cc bobber segment killer
It is the most stylish, eye-catching & attractive bike on a 350cc segment from royal enfield till now. With a much smoother and refined engineering from previous 350cc segments by Royal Enfield, they have really curated the best bobber which will not only grab attention but satisfy a riders soul and passion for such bikes. If you like attention and a very smooth engine with much untapped power go for this. Its the 350 bobber segment killer. Till now i have driven 900 kms in 2.5 months with the first service done, i have face zero issues with the bike. There maybe some glitches in the electronics in the much earlier builts but later they have improved those till now no issues in Engine & electronics! I was going for TVS Apache 310rtr but change my taste and segment after test riding this bike never liked any cafe racer or bobber styled bikes but this machine convince me to enter in this segment.
