Royal Enfield Scram 440

Royal Enfield has unveiled the Scram 440 and here’s all you need to know about it.

Royal Enfield has unveiled the Scrambler 440 and is based upon the same chassis as the Himalayan 411 and the Scram 411 which it replaces. It will be available in two variants: Trail and Force. The Trail variant will get spoke wheels and will be available in two colours:  Trail Blue and Trail Green while the Force varinat will come with alloy wheels and in three colours: Force Blue, Force Grey and Force Teal.  

Updates on the Scram 440 include a new LED headlight, an instrument cluster which we have previously seen on the Hunter 350 and a bored-out engine which makes more power and torque. 

The Scram 440 is powered by a 443cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine and produces 25.4PS at 6,250rpm and 34Nm at 4,000rpm, which is 1.1PS and 2Nm more than the 411cc engine. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox unlike the 5-speed one found on the previous iteration. It has a telescopic fork and a monoshock while braking duties are taken care of by a 300mm and 240mm disc at the front and rear. The dry weight of the scrambler stands at 187kg. 

The official prices and delivery dates will be announced in the month of January 2025 and once launched, it will go against the likes of Hero Xpulse 210, Triumph Scrambler 400X and the Yezdi Adventure.
