5 New Yamaha Bikes And Scooters Incoming; Here's What We Think They Are
From a new maxi-scooter to blistering fast hyper naked and everything in between!
After a long period of anticipation, Yamaha has finally shown that it’s ready to go all out in India. Following the launch of the XSR155 and introduction of the FZ-Rave, along with the unveil of its first electric scooters: the EC-06 and Aerox-E, the Japanese brand revealed an ambitious roadmap for the Indian market. At the launch presentation, Yamaha announced plans to update 20 existing models and introduce 10 new two-wheelers (including EVs) within the current financial year, that is, from April 2025 to March 2026.
We already know five new products have been introduced so far (including the ones mentioned above), with just a few months left, here’s what we can expect to roll out next from the House of Blue.
Upcoming Model Updates
Yamaha has already refreshed a good chunk of its lineup, including the MT-15 V2, Fascino, RayZR, Aerox Version S, FZ-S FI, and the R15 V4 recently. But the updates don’t end there. Several other models are expected to get major revisions soon. Here are the expected updates:
Fascino & RayZR 125 Updates
The Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi and the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi have been around for quite some time, and going forward, we might just see slight design tweaks (while still keeping the scooters’ overall silhouette intact), possibly an all-LED lighting, and new colours as well. Additionally, for the RayZR 125, Yamaha might just tweak the motor for better performance so that it competes better with the TVS Ntorq 125.

Yamaha R3 New Colour Launched AbroadAerox Alpha
The Aerox Alpha, already on sale in Indonesia, looks properly wild with its dual projector LED headlights, electrically assisted automatic transmission, dual disc brakes, and even a ‘Turbo’ riding mode. If Yamaha brings this version to India, expect it to sit above the current Aerox Version S and carry a fairly substantial price premium over the current Rs 1,41,100 (ex-showroom Delhi).
2025 Yamaha R3 Update
Yamaha’s R3 on sale in India is a generation old, but the 2025 version is expected to make its debut here soon. The updated 2025 Yamaha R3 features revised styling, new colour schemes, and an LCD console, while retaining the same tried-and-tested parallel-twin motor.
2025 Yamaha MT-03
Like its faired sibling, the 2025 MT-03 gets sharper design cues (including a revised headlight design), improved features, and new paint options. Expect the naked streetfighter to appeal to those looking for a bulletproof, Japanese streetfighter.
Expected Launches
Out of the 10 upcoming launches, Yamaha has already rolled out three: the FZ-X Hybrid, XSR155, and FZ-Rave. The company has also confirmed that the EC-06 and Aerox-E electric scooters will arrive in early 2026. That leaves five more exciting launches lined up for this financial year. Here’s what we think they will be:
Yamaha NMax 155
With the gaining popularity of maxi-scooters in India, Yamaha might finally bring in the NMax 155, a scooter that shares its heart with the Aerox 155. Having already been showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo, the NMax could directly rival the Hero Xoom 160 and serve as Yamaha’s premium urban scooter.
Yamaha WR155R / Lander 250
Adventure motorcycling is booming in India, and surprisingly, Yamaha doesn’t have a product in this space yet. That could change soon with either the WR155R, which has already been spotted in India, or the Yamaha Lander 250, shown at the 2025 Auto Expo. Expect one of them to be launched here, giving fans a taste of Yamaha’s off-road potential.
Yamaha R7
Powered by a 689cc parallel-twin engine, the Yamaha R7 sits perfectly between entry-level supersports and litre-class machines. Competing with the Triumph Daytona 660, Suzuki GSX-8R, and Honda CBR650R, it could be the middleweight supersport India has been waiting for.
Yamaha MT-07
Essentially the R7’s naked sibling, the Yamaha MT-07 offers the same performance with a more upright, everyday-friendly riding stance. Famous for its reputation of being an excellent first big bike, it would serve as the perfect upgrade for existing MT-03 or KTM 390 Duke owners looking to move up the ladder.
Yamaha MT-09
The flagship of the MT family could be the MT-09, which was also showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. Famous for its wild power delivery and wheelie-happy character, the MT-09 could become Yamaha’s halo product in India. Considering how well the Kawasaki Z900 performs in our market, Yamaha will surely want a slice of that action.
All in all, the next few months sure seem super exciting for Yamaha fans, and we hope all of these launches take place as per schedule, without any delays.

The scooter is amazing. Great performance and good mileage as well was getting around 35 kmpl in city. Great handling and high-speed stability with good breaks. For fat tyres, good stability, economic good looking city commuter. Bought in 2020 still using it. Though modified the seat cushion as per usage. Great looking bike since launched till now. I loved the profile at first look. I have the fzs v3 version. It's good overall bike. Bulky body fat tires look great. Seating is average for both pillion and rider. I would put it as a good city commuter. But not made for long rides. If the seats were better it would have been a king. Try the seats and a long drive above 30km first to settle down with this bike. Everything except the seat cushion is great. Yes for city drives definitely recommend for performance safety & mileage. But check seats first. Read More
Just completed 3000+ km bike is really good, 50+ km per Liter. top speed 115km /hr in top speed I never feel any vibrations. Engine is very smooth. In speed between 90 to 100 km/hr I get 50 + mileage in my last ride to my village. Daily I use this bike for office 50 km daily no issue. literally weekly 5 days I just use 5 liter petrol after daily office. Saturday and Sunday I travel more than 50 km no need to refuel bike.Read More
Good to go. Price is higher side little bit. You can drive it smoothly. A bit off roading can be done.
