Overview
The Yamaha Lander 250 is a rugged, dual-sport bike built to handle both daily commuting and off-road riding. While it has not been confirmed for India yet, it could make for a strong contender in the growing entry-level ADV and dual-sport segment. It shares its engine with the Yamaha FZ 25 (previously sold in India, now discontinued), and has hardware suited for rough terrain.

The 2026 Yamaha Lander 250 is priced at BRL 29,990 (around Rs 5.12 lakh) in Brazil. If Yamaha decides to launch the bike in India, we expect it to cost around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Yamaha Lander 250 Design
The Yamaha Lander 250 has a purposeful dual-sport design with upright ergonomics. For 2026, it gets a refreshed fascia with a new LED projector headlight. The front beak has been redesigned, and the tail section has been tweaked for a sharper look. The tank shrouds have also been updated and continue to give the bike a muscular stance.
Yamaha Lander 250 Engine
Powering the Yamaha Lander 250 is a 249cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that makes 20.5PS and 20Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This is the same motor that powered the Yamaha FZ 25 in India – it was known for its smooth performance, strong low-end torque, and decent highway cruising ability.
Yamaha Lander 250 Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Lander 250 is built on a double cradle frame, suspended by a telescopic fork with 220mm wheel travel and monoshock with 204mm wheel travel. Ground clearance stands at an impressive 240mm, making it well-suited for tackling rough trails and obstacles. It gets disc brakes at both ends supported by ABS, and rides on spoked wheels with tubed tyres.
Yamaha Lander 250 Features
The 2026 Yamaha Lander 250 gets an LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, phone alerts, and music controls. The bike also gets all-LED lighting.

If launched in India, the Yamaha Lander 250 would compete with the Hero XPulse 200 4V, Hero XPulse 210, and Kawasaki KLX 230. These bikes cater to riders looking for lightweight, affordable machines that can handle both city roads and serious off-road adventures.
