Kawasaki KLX230 Design
The KLX230 gets a very unique design with the raised front fender, narrow fuel tank and a long single-piece seat. The bike gets a sleek look with minimal fairing, exposed aluminium subframe and an upswept exhaust. The headlight gives the bike a distinct enduro look. While the bike comes in two colour schemes, we like the ‘Lime Green’ one more, as it retains Kawasaki’s iconic colour palette.
Kawasaki KLX230 Engine
The Kawasaki KLX230 is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 19PS at 8,000rpm and 19Nm at 6,400rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Kawasaki KLX230 Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Kawasaki KLX230 gets a telescopic fork with 240mm wheel travel and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 250mm of wheel travel. The bike has a 290mm front and a 230mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel switchable ABS. The bike comes with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped with tubed dual-sport tyres. It has an 880mm seat height, weighs 139kg and has a ground clearance of 255mm. The KLX230 has a 7.6-litre fuel tank.

The Kawasaki KLX230 is equipped with an LCD instrument console that offers smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth and has basic features like call and SMS alerts. The console has a speedometer, an odometer, a fuel gauge, and other tell tale lights. The Kawasaki KLX230 has an engine cut-off switch along with an ABS toggle switch.

October 13, 2025: Kawasaki is offering a 7-year extended warranty on the KLX230 for a fee of Rs 2,499, over the 3-year standard warranty. The extended warranty covers only the engine and gearbox components.
September 29, 2025: Kawasaki sold 28 units of the KLX230 in India in the month of August 2025. The sales figure has gone down drastically compared to the 102 units sold in the month prior.
September 24, 2025: The Kawasaki KLX230 gets a price cut of around Rs 15,000 under GST 2.0. It is now priced from Rs 1,84,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
August 12, 2025: Kawasaki has launched the 2026 KLX230 in India at price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it Rs 1.30 lakh cheaper than its previous price of Rs 3.30 lakh. The 2026 version makes slightly more power, gets some different underpinnings and new graphics.
