The Kawasaki Z400 has not yet launched in India. Its price is Yen 7,48,000 in Japan (about Rs 4.37 lakh in Indian currency).

Kawasaki Z400 Design
The Kawasaki Z400 is a naked streetfighter and gets aggressive styling. The bike’s sharp tank shrouds give it a muscular yet sporty look. The fuel tank has a bulky look.. The twin-pod headlight gives the bike a modern look. Despite being available in a single colour scheme, it goes well with the bike’s design and looks quite elegant, but will mainly appeal to a younger audience.
Kawasaki Z400 Engine
The Z400 is powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine – the same unit as on the Ninja 400. It makes 48PS at 10,000rpm, and 37Nm at 8,000rpm. The motorcycle gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Kawasaki Z400 Features
The motorcycle comes equipped with a fully-digital LCD instrument cluster with a large semi-circular tachometer. It shows readings of the tachometer, speedometer, gear-position indicator, fuel gauge along with an econometer too. For rider aids, the list is quite short and it only has dual-channel ABS as standard. The Kawasaki Z400 also gets an all-LED lighting setup.
Kawasaki Z400 Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Z400 gets a steel trellis frame. It comes with a 41mm telescopic fork with 120mm of wheel travel and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 130mm of wheel travel. The bike has 310mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brakes, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. It weighs 166kg kerb, has a ground clearance of 145mm and a seat height of 785mm.
Kawasaki Z400 Competition
If and when launched in India, the Z400 will compete with the KTM Duke 390 and the Aprilia Tuono 457.
