Upcoming Bike & Scooter Launches in August 2026
A new Yamaha sportbike, a faster Pulsar and two electric scooters are headed our way

August 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting month for the Indian two-wheeler market. From a brand-new Yamaha sportsbike and an updated Pulsar to two very different electric scooters, there’s quite a bit headed our way. Here are four upcoming two-wheelers worth keeping an eye on this month.
E3 Trion
First up is the E3 Trion, which is set to make its debut in early August. The Trion will be the first electric scooter from Bengaluru-based startup E3 Electric.AI and is being positioned as an AI-enabled family scooter.
The scooter’s party trick could be its AI-based technology, with features such as vehicle health monitoring, pothole detection and collision avoidance expected to be offered.
Bajaj Pulsar N160 4V
Bajaj has a new Pulsar lined up for August, and it is expected to be a 4-valve version of the Pulsar N160. The current N160 uses a 164.82cc, 2-valve engine producing 16PS, so moving to a 4-valve head could potentially help improve its top-end performance.
Apart from the engine changes, Bajaj could also throw in a few cosmetic and feature updates to distinguish the new variant. Once launched, the Pulsar N160 4V should be better equipped to take on the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.

Yamaha R2
Arguably the most exciting two-wheeler expected this month is the Yamaha R2. The new sportsbike is likely to debut in August and will sit above the R15 in Yamaha’s Indian lineup.
The R2 is expected to use a new liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine displacing around 200cc or slightly more. If it gets the pricing right, the R2 could become the logical upgrade for existing R15 owners.

Ather EL01
Ather will wrap up the month with its Community Day on August 29, where it will unveil the first production scooter based on its new EL platform. The upcoming scooter is expected to remain quite close to the EL01 concept showcased last year.
Unlike the sporty 450 range, the EL01 appears to take a more practical, family-focused approach. It could also allow Ather to target a more affordable segment and take on established family EVs such as the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.

With everything from an affordable sportsbike to next-generation electric scooters on the cards, August could turn out to be one of the busiest two-wheeler launch months of 2026.
