[Update: Yamaha announced the launch timeline for the upcoming motorcycles and scooters.]

Quick News Highlights:
-
LCD console clearly visible this time around
-
Could be unveiled alongside the XSR155 on November 11
-
If launched, will rival the Hero XPulse 210 & Kawasaki KLX230
Yamaha’s dual-sport bike, the WR155 R, has been spotted once again in Bengaluru, this time parked rather than on the move. The photos are much clearer this time around, revealing more details than before — notably, the LCD instrument console.

So What’s New This Time?
This Yamaha WR155 R bike is the same one from the earlier spy shots, as even the number plates match. Now, we have a much better look at the LCD console, and it matches the one seen on the international model. The console displays the speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, fuel level, gear position indicator, and all the tell-tale lights.
What Else?
What’s also confirmed this time around is the halogen headlight unit, which was not visible last time around. Still, the absence of mandatory parts for a bike to be sold in India - like the saree guard and rear view mirrors – hints that this Yamaha bike might be a private import. If that’s the case, then its launch might be unlikely.

BikeDekho Says
But, if the Japanese bikemaker proves us wrong and decides to launch this dual-sport bike here, we think it’ll be priced at around Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It will directly rival the Hero Xpulse 210 (Rs 1.62 lakh to 1.71 lakh), and the Kawasaki KLX230 (Rs 1.84 lakh). In that case, we think it might be unveiled at the November 11 Yamaha event, with a launch possibly later.
