Honda Activa 110 Update Launch: What We Expect
From a much-needed front disc to possible E85 flex-fuel tech, here's what could headline India's next big Activa update

It's been quite some time since Honda gave the Activa a meaningful update. It's still India's best-selling scooter by a wide margin, but the segment around it has moved forward with better features. Folks are wondering when the Honda Activa 7G launch will happen. Before we address that, it’s important to understand that the upcoming version of the Activa 110 won’t be called ‘Activa 7G’ as Honda phased-out that nomenclature years ago. With that out of the way, here’s what we can expect from the next update to the Activa 110:
Slightly tweaked design and perhaps new colours?

Yes we know this doesn't look like a new Activa but then again, Honda is not going to reinvent the wheel by making any major visual changes!
The Activa's silhouette is very popular, and Honda doesn't want to reinvent it completely. Its target audience loves the neutral looks, so Honda will never massively redesign the scooter. What we're more likely to get is a mild visual refresh, slightly reworked panels, maybe a tweaked apron and tail section to make it look up-to-date.
Alongside that, new colour options feel like a safe bet too, since that's usually the easiest way Honda keeps a model feeling fresh without touching the engineering underneath.
Better stopping power hopefully!

The current Activa 110 already covers most of what you'd want on a modern scooter. It's got a TFT console, navigation, and an external fuel filler cap, so those boxes are ticked. The one (and also the most crucial) pain point is braking as there's still no front disc even in the top-end H-Smart variant. We hope Honda solves this in the update. A 190mm disc borrowed from the Activa 125 should do the job as both of them share the same wheel size, so mounting shouldn’t be a problem.
E85 Compatibility
This one's a bit more obvious as it’s the only way for Honda to survive with the changing fuel regulations in India. The brand has already shown initiative with the ADV160, which can run on flex fuel and can take anything from regular petrol up to E85 (85% ethanol). Its next move has to be to update its biggest revenue-generating product, the Activa 110. But since India has not fully made the transition to flex fuel, it would make sense for Honda to offer this as a variant. Honda wouldn’t want to fiddle with the Activa’s strong value proposition, so expect this variant to cost only a bit more than the existing one.
All said and done, these updates seem achievable rather than overly ambitious. It would be best for Honda to capitalise on the festive rush to launch the updated version, say end of this year, but there have been no official signs so far. Will Honda deliver on all these counts? Only time will tell.
